Manly Inclusive Pride jersey backlash

The longer you sit on this one the more pissed off I'm getting.

It's a big deal what the Manly players did as much as the club and nrl would like to sweep under the carpet
 
U know what really worries me is that only one side of this has had a voice, all the gay activists have had a say , but the media never went looking for anyone against it , but t then again if u object to wearing the jersey ur a this and that so no one speaks up . Me I don’t care what theses rainbow people do , there entitled to live there lives the way they want , but Iam sick of how it gets forced down our throats, and it’s all the lefties and media driving it . Just live together and move on

No matter what your thoughts on “their” (Judeo-Christian) beliefs as it is the foundation of our modern society and laws. You don’t have to have their beliefs but just as you wish for people to respect for the LGBTQ community you should respect all the other communities.

If you use religion as an excuse you can use religion as an excuse for anything that is deemed religious.

If we have to agree with bigotry towards homosexuals due to religious beliefs well then we have to agree with religious terrorism.

If not then the religious argument is meaningless.

I choose not to use religion as an excuse. If you choose religion as an excuse then religious terrorism is cool.

Take your pick. You can't pick and choose though when it comes to having religion as an excuse.

I am not sure there was bigotry. Not showing support is different to being accepting of it even if it is not part of your life.

I am not vegetarian, but realise there are people that are. I am not going to openly support them, but won’t be upset if they come to a BBQ at my place and not eat my sausage

I don't see it like this. They view homosexuality as being a sin. Is that not bigoted ?

It's a pretty extremist viewpoint that some people seem to think is cool when it isn't.

So let me get this right, these players and their abilities are all good for your entertainment but their beliefs are of no importance and you think they are all “religious terrorists”

No not at all. I explained it above. I also don't know what you do about it.

The point is religion is not an excuse for any sort of poor behavior. If you believe it is an excuse then you have to be fine with religious terrorism. That is part of their religion.

So I respect their ability to play footy but I don't respect their viewpoints towards homosexuals.

A good question to you is are you homophobic ?

No, I’m not homophobic but I respect other peoples beliefs on the subject. As far as I’m concerned it’s nobody’s business what people do in their private lives and this subject should not be used as a political weapon and should definitely stay right out of the game.

Have they said that? Unlike Israel Falou who expressed that view publicly, I have not heard them say anything.

The bible also endorses slavery, but I do not think these players are keeping servants in their shed’s
