I think we may see a few bigger teams miss out for a few years to be honest. If Manly lose both halves in the same year, plus losing Choc and Stewart, I think they're in trouble. They might get Hodkinson, Elgey, or snare Maloney, but they look like an absolute rabble off the field and it's showing on the field.
Another team who might start to struggle is the Storm. Hoffman is a big loss, but if one of the 'big 3' go down, who knows! They're not getting any younger either.
Souths look like they are carrying the form from last year. The Dogs have an awesome team from 1-17, as do the Roosters on paper.
I think the Cowboys can get close this year.
But I think teams like Penrith, Parra, Warriors and the Tigers are the teams that are actively building. Recruiting in key positions and building from youth. The problem is keeping them all. The NRL has to step in and reward clubs for bringing through juniors, it's ridiculous.
I believe a changing of the guard at the top of the ladder will be certainly occurring in the next two or three seasons that's for sure.
