It is a workplace offence unlike that of Pearce.

When JT got word of it all, he complained to another board member who has brought it all up again and demanded O'Neill get the punt. Doesn't take much to guess which side of the board that person was from….
If this is true, that Pascoe dealt with it then JT wanted more done , than gee our coach has a long memory and likes to hold grudges.
If what you are saying is true (and I have serious doubts), it would have gone to a board meeting at which the majority voted for him to be allowed to resign. This isn't a Wests/Balmain thing, it is a simple matter of misbehaviour by a senior manager. JT had him sacked via some back door route? Nobody ever went to the moon? Give me a break. All this happened after an independent investigation.
If you want to believe the spin that WT have put out publicly, go for it. There was an internal investigation, from which Pascoe determined punishments agreed to by Go, and for that matter agreed to by the NRL Integrity Commission. It was to end here until JT stuck his nose in with some other board members.
If the punishment which the CEO determined & the chair agreed was the correct outcome, and the NRL Integrity Commission agreed was the correct outcome, any smart board accepts those recommendations.
@Balmain Boy said:Pretty laughable that Taylor would wield any sort of power to get his employer sacked. Are there that many board members that love JT so much they would go against the desires of their CEO, Chairperson and the NRL Integrity Unit? Extremely doubtful.
Just as doubtful as someone who's never claimed to have inside info suddenly being a close mate of the Board.
If O'Neil acted in an inappropriate manner to his assistant then i'm sure Go, a staunch feminist, would want him gone if he admitted his actions. If it was a player he would have been stood down and reprimanded, but probably not sacked. That's the difference, and one he obviously hadn't got his head around. He wasn't just one of the boys anymore. He was a senior manager at the club.
If he's replaced by a highly reputable person with no affiliations to the club hopefully that would help the tin foil hat brigade from insinuating issues and agendas everytime anything happens.

Just as laughable as Farah getting coaches sacked 're BOARD decisions.
Of course the anti Taylor are going to accuse him of being involved just like the anti Farah have done for years - 're coaches
You Either believe that at any given time certain individuals have the power to influence the boards decisions OR you trust that the board makes informed decisions without bias. You can't have it both ways.

@Oxygen said:Taylor was on the phone straight away to the board members and put O'Neill in , JT hated the fact O'Neill was employed to look over him and was watching him like a hawk regardless what ever O' Neill did was a sackable offence , he did seek legal advice but was told you don't have leg to stand on and it's in your best interests to resign.
The five Wests board members love Taylor and want to extend his contract now , but the other side of the board want to see how he goes next year and make a decision half way through the season.
As for Idris he has not signed yet , should he sign this will leave no money for ET but the club is hoping to move Rankin on which will hopefully leave enough money to sign ET.
Remember a week is long time in League and things change by the day…..

lets hope sanity prevails and taylor is evaluated next year and not now.I am positive not one nrl club would have the slightest interest in him at the moment. He has done nothing except talk himself up and bag everyone before him at the club and delivered nothing.
