Mark ONeill - new role at the Wests Tigers ..

What Pascoe wants the person to do in the role even superman would struggle and JC would probably have his hands full. Big Mark ticks a lot of the boxes, not all of them but a lot of them. So like everyone else at the club I am more than happy to give him a chance and I hope he nails it.

Anyway without knowing what candidates missed out I see big Marks as a good choice…time will tell

I think Woods' personality and leadership should not be understated. Woods' is a natural leader and also being a WTs' junior will be a big factor in retaining our players.

oneill i believe was the person who got ellis to the tigers. so lets hope he can pull some more good players.

Well lets hope he has some business accruement , because all the club statement says he is a club legend and how great it was to have him..I say well done to the CEO for another great appointment NOT another job for the boys ..I am sure Payten will not be to far in the future! There is just no end to it at this club.

Its not really a business related role. He's running the football division. The biggest challenge for O'Neill will be cap management. Anyway lets hope we finally have a long term solution.

Buckets was captain for much of the year but got injured.Prince was made captain while he was out and remained captain after he came back.So he was captain for much of the year but not in the gf.
Wonderful club man and he was responsible for us getting our best non junior to the club in Ellis.

Correct.
I remember I think it was the first time we had d worn the white shorts with the orange jumper that year

Only going from memory, I think that wests-tigers may have worn the white shorts earlier in the year.
Was early in the season, in the first 6 rounds.
I remember it being very hot at the ground, on a sunday, was either the bulldogs or roosters game.

anyway back op topic best wishes to Mark O'Neill in his appointment

I remember clearly that after the miraculous GF win in 2005 Buckets was interviewed on-field. He was asked _"Can you believe it????"_. Amidst the excitement and hysteria he didn't bat an eyelid when he replied _"Yes, I can."_
I loved that.

I don't remember the exact words of the rest but he believed in this team and had faith that we could pull it off.

(Maybe someone can find and post that video snippet?)

Anyway, his pride and faith in the club is just what we need. He was respectful as a player and always respected. Hard-working, ambitious and bold. Very proud to have Mark back.

I remember a lot of the interviews had profanity.
Funny as.

Forum friendly? lol

Only reason, I remembered, I went to the roosters game, and it was very hot. Went with my mate who is a roosters fan. I ecstatic when wests tigers scored, as we could not be beaten to zero in both games.

Yeah, I was there too….to knock off the premiers and runners up in successive weeks after the disappointment of round one that year was amazing
