told ya mate…im warming to the pigmeister..

If it means the versatile Farah to 7 then DO IT!!!!!!

are you joking?

Farah in Origin for sure (Barring Injury)

I still do see him taking a spot on our bench.

We have to many youngsters with incredible potential in waiting

So after reading all through these posts am I correct in saying that we still don't know one way or another if Riddel has signed? I think he'll go well as both a 1-2 dummy half runner with Farah, good on the defense and a character for morale.

I see hayne fitting in nicely at fullback ,inglis in the centres and eastwood and burgess doing well in at prop for us.oh wait there not signed either.

 No but if you say you heard someone mention we might be signing any or all of those guys by all means create a thread. Hayne should be worth at least 10 pages.

all but confirmed now

MARK "Piggy" Riddell - one of the great characters in modern-day rugby league - is poised to make a dramatic return to the NRL next season with Wests Tigers.
>
The one-year deal will be announced this week, with the Tigers planning to use Riddell as a shadow player for classy No. 9 Robbie Farah.
>
Riddell signed a three-year deal with English giants Wigan in 2009 but has cut short his English deal to return home to be near his mother, who is fighting cancer. It is likely Riddell will be able to celebrate his new deal with Wests Tigers tomorrow, his 29th birthday.
>
The Tigers see Riddell as a solid and experienced back-up for Farah. But he can also play back-row and kick goals.
>
"It's likely to happen. We are maybe a day or two away from finalising it," Wests Tigers chief executive Stephen Humphreys said yesterday.
>
"We have had discussions with Mark and they went very well. It is certainly something we are thinking about.
>
"We are considering him as a back-up to Robbie Farah."
>
Asked how Riddell would be squeezed into the Tigers' salary cap, Humphreys said: "If he were to come here, it would be on a second-tier contract. He wouldn't be in our top 25\. That is the context with which we are considering him."
>
Riddell ended his two-year stint at Wigan with a win over St Helens in this year's Super League grand final.
>
He has previously played with St George Illawarra and Parramatta after starting out with the Sydney Roosters.
>
After the Super League triumph, Riddell said: "This is No. 1 for me. I have been chasing one of these titles for 11 or 12 years in professional rugby league.
>
"To finally get one at the end is something special."
>
Wigan coach Michael Maguire was upset to lose Riddell.
>
"We knew about Mark's situation in June and we will be sad to lose him but fully understand the reasons behind his decision," Maguire said.

If he is our utility on the bench, coming on for 20 minutes or so then that's fine.
But if he takes up a spot AND Sheens includes a winger on the bench too, then i'll be cranky.

Guess this means that Corby and Carr are gooorn

A footy player, not an athlete…quicker between the ears than on his feet, though his pace is deceptive too

I like it

This just shows that the goons @ the Tele read the WTF

Im still not sold on the deal

Humphries has come out nd said it himself that the deal is pretty much done. IMO he would be a good signing, wouldnt mind him as a utility off the bench taking fitzy's role covers 9 and the back row

Just have to wait and keep an eye out on the official site over the next few days now. If indeed he's not on a top tier contract then that's a good move IMO. One would certainly think Folkes will get him fit and have him playing a little lighter in Tigers colours.

Not the actuality of a contract in terms of confirming what was up till now a rumour. That's acknowledged.

The acquisition of another player that may hamper development of some of our gun jnrs.

I like Riddell from the saints days. however I worry that the liklyhood of another 2 years in the lower grades could see us loose a few more players that we would have preferred to keep.

As always when it is signed I will support the WT leadership of Humphries and Sheens.

I wonder if Benji will relinquish the kicking duties ??

ie - Penalties and conversions etc

Carr has gone to Redcliffe and Corby will be lucky to play this season after surgery is what I was told

I cant see a problem with this signing. not much dollars and at his best he is a very dangerous player. As people have said of the bench for 20 minute stints and i think he can add to our already impressive lineup.
