Marsters Goal Kicking

I agree. Attention to detail is often lacking. Take goal line drop outs. Most team kick 50m on the full or more. We tend to dribble 35 to 40 metres. What do they say about taking care of the 1%ers

A lot of the great goal kickers were pretty average players. El Masri, Halligan, Jason Taylor & Jarrod Crocker come to mind, but they were so valuable to their teams for their kicking alone

Geez, you could have chosen a few different player examples, as there is only one on that list that would have struggled without being a goalkicker. That said, we could certainly do with a better one right now,

Didn’t realise that. Thought his first club was Canterbury. Cheers

No worries, wasn't trying to be a smarty, just letting you know, he played about 36 games for Wests in 2 years, and the dogs come and swooped

My point is, whilst they were/are exceptional goal kickers, none of them were world beaters. It was simply in response to someone's post asking why should we buy an average player (Martin) just because he can kick really well.

Feel free to disagree, but imo they were/are ok players, nothing special.

Im with you. Eion Crossan, chook Herron and Luke Covell are examples of players picked purely for goal kicking. Martin has more than kicking ability.

Martin is not coming this year. Heard Dogs have zero interest in releasing him. Maybe wrong but I can’t see it happening.

Can I just say this

Simply put Maguire will want to go up by sixes …...if he had a better kicking option he'd be using them

Did you use your Mensa degree to figure that out. …

@Spud_Murphy should have used Luke Burt..
