Martin Kennedy

My Brother in law is a Parra supporter , and texted him about the Tolman thing and he said " Don't believe those figures are true cause then 4 million of the cap would be taken by 6 players which is impossible cause you haven't got enough to pay the rest ". He can't handle me saying there paying overs  , a couple of weeks ago he said to me the day we signed Farrah "Ricky didn't want to pay $650,000 for Farrah his asking price " but 2 days before Farrah signed he texted me saying Parra signed him.

God put this in the wrong thread SORRY!!!

Sign George Rose for the rest of the year and then an option in our favour for 2014.

Sign Martin Kennedy and Dayne Weston for 2014 on long term contracts.

Dayne Weston appears out of favour with Penrith so try and sign him now as a mid season transfer.

I would love to sign the hard hitting Nigel Plum or Greg Eastwood and let go of BMM and other fringe players

I agree but do we have recruitment staff anymore at WT or is Blocker now doing all this type of work (assisted by Royce Simmons)?

we had nigel plum but sheens refused to give him a go so he left, just like all the others, TEO, LIMA,FIFITA,GIBBS,HEIGNO,HARRISON,MOORS,BROWN THE LIST JUST GOES ON AND ON.

Getting rid of BMM. Your kidding. Blame the coach for not giving him game time. He's one if a few that run hard and straight

Yes..the Sheens legacy…and left us with the Biggest Bludger and Old Man Anasta..as well no halfback since Prince and no FB since Hodgo ..what a champion , and that goes for Wazza as well.

Rose would be great for us if Teddy played fullback,he has a great offload and he wouldn't need to play big minutes,Kennedy would be great and Weston is on the bench for Windsor this week,he must be out of form or out of favour.

West Tigers paid $500 k on a four year dea; for a forward who still has to make an impact. Based on that you are right $650k is well overs. By the way if Tolman is costing $650k a year I wonder what Sonny Bill Williams would be costing the Roosters?

Out of context and relevance as Eels are paying overs for Kennedy at 650k, I wouldn't expect the Roosters to be paying more than 450k for Kennedy.

Also heard that Sonny is on about 800-900k p/y? Correct me if I'm wrong

Memo to Wests Tigers Management: Is Wests Tigers finally going to sign two much needed prop forwards?

answer in a nut shell, hell no, they will wait and think then see if sponsors and fan think its a good idea then say no.

just heard on TV tolman signed for the EELS, good work tiger recruitment.

Would you pay $650k a year for Tolman? I certainly wouldn't.

NO, willow not worth it but that not the point at least they are trying to do something about ther situation. its better to throw money at a decent player than buy 3 would bees like we bought, give me tolman over them any day.

Arent you contradicting yourself here bp? By buying Blair, Thompson and Pettybourne were we not trying to improve our situation? None of them are state cup quality players, given Pettybourne was in the Souths First Grade side and Bodene had been out for a year with a shoulder reconstruction.

I would have both of them before Tolman, and if he is getting $650 per year then Blair was a bargain!

Kennedy is likely to be on less than $200k (prob well less).

The papers exaggerate all the players wages.

I can assure you that Blair is not on $500k a season (i know what he is on) he is on significantly less.

Before the latest salary cap increase the cap works out to be $172k per player. Given the top heavey nature of the cap the median salary was $142k.

I dont have have the new details of the median with the new cap, but players earn alot less than people think.

Please don't mention Teo's name. He whored himself out to the highest bidder

Teo's attitude at the Tigers stank, he was no loss whatsoever at the time. Likewise with Lima. Brown is solid but no superstar, and at the time the club had to make a decision between Fifita, Groat and Woods. Fifita's attitude at the time did him no favors despite his obvious talent. Harrison and Moors can probably feel a bit hard done by. Harrison because he was used as a frontrower rather than a wide running backrower and Moors should have been a regular off the interchange bench.

Kennedy is a nuffy. The only good games he has played against us because we love making average players look like superstars.

With that being said he is a prop and not at the end of his career so if he was available I would sign him.

Yes if we sign him, we take away his greatest strength, which is playing against us.

I also want to point out that people are thrashing about numbers, e.g. Tolman, about what people can and cannot be on. It cannot be forgotten however that the salary cap is poised to rise sharply within a few years, we could be looking at the start of a large number of back-heavy contracts.

Do some of you guys even watch state cup .? Rose is 20 is over weight and not playing much time in a team that I've seen flogged on two occasions.he is lazy and if he was fair dinkum about his football he would lose the weight in a normal off season , having said all that ,rose is just the type of player we will sign
