So someone states a rumour on a TV show and suddenly the club is definately releasing Tauapau

1\. It's a Rumour
2\. He is on bugger all money with us so thats likely to be the key driver if true given we have no cap room to offer him an upgrade for next yr
3\. He can ask all he wants - we are allowed to say No

Mate, I have been through it as a former Newtown supporter. It is not pretty and very heartbreaking. A lot of this anguish for a certain player is misguided. The supporters should instead be 100% concerned for the future of their club and trying their best to stabilise this crisis the club is facing.

We have been so poor the last 15 years (both figuratively and literally) that at times like these I almost wish we were kicked out than had to deal with this bullsh**. Excuse me, I'm emotional and angry.
 
the last four years have been bad and the likelihood is the next 2 or 3 will be worse so how does this club expect people on modest incomes to keep buying memberships to watch their team lose.parramatta are still paying jaryd hayne,fined for exceding the cap yet can still buy players for next year.
 
Don't you understand Gallagher, he does have a club, Wests Tigers, unless they pay him out early . you see, he signed a contract that he'd play here. And so did the club, it's not complicated . He's honouring his side, and the club should as well
I just hope that other players realise now that the clubs can't just shuffle players around like possessions when they want to change their mind halfway through a contract.
Looks like he's got plenty of leverage to me .
I had a mate on Sunday say that he's glad that there is a WT club as it makes his club (Cronulla )look extremely professional .

He's got his business here, so it's unlikely that he'd leave Sydney.
 
do you all remember when this club with the same board signed brad takarangi at the end of last year..when jt joined the club he then decides in his wisdom not to go through with the signing.so brad signs for Parramatta and guess what…we pay a large portion of his contract.i know he isn't any world beater but why on earth did we sign him in the first pace and then release him and pay his contract with parra..and lovely marina says the mess isn't any of her doing.

Actually I think it was Taylor and Mayer who reneged on the deal.
But I could be mistaken.
 
but it was the same board as we have now…you are right on taylor but mayer signed him as ceo but talyor said he didn't want him at our club...FACT

Maybe so, but that doesn't mean we're paying him.

I hear it from Parra and Saints supporters and how do you argue it ??
 
no speculation…he signed a 3 year deal to play for us but when jt became coach he didn't want him due to attitude problems at the roosters when both were there.so we released him to parra and we sign the majority of his contract.mayer was ceo with the same board now saying hard decisions need to be made due to cap problems.i am no businessman but bloody hell what is going on.
