Jason Cayless had about the same output on the field as Matt Ballin probably a tad over 63mins in the 4 games he played …that guy only went down with a boil on his...so yes we have had many a dud signing....

Bwaith tho holds the mantle forever for mine and he played a lot more games one highlight 0 runs for 0m against his old Club...At least Matt has been a good influence around most of the younger guys...McIlwrick and Liddle for a start...When Matt leaves I am also sure he won't be slagging on the Club like Bwaith every other week...

If you had no issues with him being a dud signing why do you keep defending it? Your comparing idris who is 26yrs old and was healthy when he came to us and would have most likely done a medical. To signing a 32yr old who had done his knee and was unwanted by his club. Blind freddy could have told you it was a bad signing. 2 years later and 63 minutes of football tells you thats the case. It doesnt matter who signed him. JT is gone, stop trying to defend his legacy as you keep bringing his name up. The farah train left a long time ago and it also seems you havent moved on from him. Doesnt matter who signed him and who he replaced, dud signing full stop.

Mate, you got banned for having a complete meltdown about JT after he was sacked, so its a bit rich pointing the finger at others for still bringing him up. And i'm not defending him being a dud signing, you seem to conveniently overlook the part where i said he was just that. I do feel the need to defend him as a person though as people have a personal vandetta against him because he was a pawn in the game. Don't try and deny it. I've never seen a player at our club get injured and some react with joy. Maybe it isn't because they don't like him personally, maybe they are just taking satisfaction out of being proven right, which in itself is a bit sad to be hoping a guy gets injured so it can justify your point.

What other player has played 63 minutes in 2 years. Its stating facts. Why would anyone have a personal vendetta against him. He is a dud signing , but you try to justify it by saying he is a top bloke. Name 1 person who has a personal vendetta against him? Sounds like your imagination .

What are you reading, i'm not justifying anything. I'm saying that most who are calling him a dud signing seem to have something personal against him. As for who they are, almost everyone who is pro-Farah and anti-JT. Anyway, this is going to go round in circles. Enjoy your weekend.

So let me get this straight. Anyone who thinks ballin is a dud signing has a personal vendetta against him and its because they are anti jt and pro farah lol. Glad to see you havent changed one bit. Have a lovely weekend.

Cayless played 3 games in 2010 then retired in 2011 even though he was contracted due to injury.

Braith is a scumbag, the worst player and person we ever signed.

Braith makes it even worse that he blames everyone else at the club for how much he sucked. I remember that game against the Roosters was an absolute disgrace.

Edit - sorry off topic

Back to the post, he would be a perfect guy to have in the football operation in some capacity. When you are trying to build the joint from the ground up and develop the right culture Ballin would be a great person to have on your books. Obviously his days as a player are gone and he was not a great buy as far as football goes, but I hear nothing but glowing reports about what he does off the paddock

Ballin was a dud signing. It's not his fault. You win some, you lose some. He wasnt the first dud we signed and unfortunately he won't be the last. But I'm glad he's handled his situation with professionalism and dignity, he could of just sat on the couch eating cheeseburgers and being depressed.
