Imagine if there was a joint statement saying Ballin is signed and Farah is leaving. The forum would melt.

Taylor has denied Ballin has "signed a contract" in two radio interviews. Now he could be getting cute by playing on words but someone is telling porkies.

Is this more bashing? If it is, it's only obvious that he would deny it till it's official. What's he suppose to say "yes negotiations are on track"? This club denied that they were signing Adam Blair for nearly 6 months. Brett Morris held up a piece of paper to a camera when rumours were that he was off to the Dogs saying "as if I'd play for the Dogs. Dragons 4 lyf".

The excuses people will use to bash this man is incredible. Never seen anything like it, it's personal. It's only a game for gods sake. I'm convinced if he dropped dead there'd be at least a few people openly ecstatic about it. Get a sense of what really matters in life when you feel like you're starting to get petty about it.

Cmon - Taylor is fair game, just as Farah is, in this soap opera - and both are copping their fair share of rubbish and accusations thrown their way depending on which side of the fence you sit on. So if you are going to get all sensitive/defensive about what Taylor is being accused of you cant put the blinkers on when Farah is copping equally as much hate from his detractors. Somewhere in the middle lies the truth and they are both in it up to their necks rightly or wrongly.

Sorry, but the level of abuse JT has copped has been on another level compared to Farah. I don't mind if people don't like the guy and want to give it to him (I know I have) but some on here take it way too far. For example one person was having a go at him for how he looked in pics at the GF luncheon. As I said, some people are so spiteful it's as if he's personally wronged them.

I see people give it to Farah, but the spitefulness and the pettiness doesn't come anywhere near JT imo.

I think the complete opposite has occurred.

How long is Matt Ballin out for with his ACL injury? If he is going to miss the first 2-3 months of the season is it even worth signing him.

Manly were letting him go for a reason he is no longer anywhere near an elite NRL hooker, since we have two better hookers in the squad and a very promising u20 hooker the signing of Ballin would be a very poor decision by the club.

Manly are keen to get rid of him because they signed a good young hooker from Penrith. I think Ballin is due back around round 1 or 2 next year.

I give you the tip Cherrington is already a far better hooker and Robbie is miles ahead of Matt Ballin. Matt Ballin was a good solid NRL player for a while but his skills are getting worse as he gets older.

Telltails i have to agree that this is exactly that…..a massive soap Opera this whole saga and quite frankly getting real boring cause the same thing keeps getting regurgitated .

I don't know JT personally but i have called him Pasty face and Scarecrow......but i have also called Farah " Gonzo " so it's a bit of a laugh nothing Personal really , but then again it's easy to misinterpret some posts here from time to time if your lacking sense of Humour .

If i had the Keys to the Club and had the money to pay them out ? they would be both out the door for playing there part in tarnishing the Reputation of the Club .

I for one don't think JT is a 1st Grade Coach and has the player Manager skills to take this Club forward .
As for Farah ? Everyone agrees that he is not worth what his getting paid and i for one would like to see him go.....not cause i don't support him but for the simple fact that the blaming game will continue depending which side of the fence you sit on when we win or lose next year and that won't be healthy for our Club ( fans are divided as it is ).

Every thread is a Farah vs JT episode :brick: , very tiresome .

As for Ballin ? he will be here next year and this will even further embarrass the Club with Farah here.

Farah shocked that Tigers sign Ballin to replace him -

Tomorrow morning Wests Tigers players will gather for the start of pre-season training in what shapes as a potential powder keg for the club and embattled head coach Jason Taylor, following the latest twist in the saga surrounding former skipper Robbie Farah’s future at the club.

Farah yesterday stood down from his position as Tigers skipper and is said to be seething after it was revealed the club had signed out-of-favour Manly rake Matt Ballin on a two-year deal.

Ballin is understood to have contacted Farah last week in a bid to clear the air with the incumbent NSW State of Origin hooker.

However, while acknowledging Ballin’s candour in making the call, Farah was clearly disappointed that Ballin would agree to any deal with the Tigers with Farah still there, given the fact he had encountered an almost identical situation at Manly following Trent Barrett’s appointment as head coach for 2016.

It is believed Ballin began negotiations more than a month ago, but both club and player had sought to keep the discussions quiet given the furore which erupted after Taylor advised Farah that he was no longer part of the club’s plans.

As was the case with Ballin, who had signed a new deal with Manly only two months prior to being shown the door, Farah has two years remaining on his contract at Wests Tigers, with the back-ended agreement understood to deliver the veteran hooker almost $1.9 million over that period.

Understandably determined to receive what he is owed, Farah is expected to be on hand for this morning’s session — though it is clear any hope of a resolution which could see him finish his career at the club is over.

Clearly fearful of any potential drama, Taylor has excused Ballin from the first week of pre-season training, with the club desperately trying to find a resolution before further damage is done.

The news regarding Farah was the icing on the cake of a horror two weeks for the Tigers organisation, with the arrest in New York of former prop Matthew Lodge on charges of stalking a woman compounded by the embarrassing email mix-up when a British lawyer mistakenly sent star backrower Martin Taupau’s new contract with Manly to a Canadian theatre critic who tweeted the information.

So this all being reported in the media - Taylor denied twice on the weekend that Ballin had signed - and still nothing from the club, It needs to be announced today It becomes more embarrassing by the minute. If Taylor made the big power play to sign Ballin - at least have the balls to admit and own it, instead of denying it and hoping Farah walks first. I dont care who is leaking it, if the deal is done stop lying about it and tell the truth the fans have the right to know. And so Ballin gets to have training off and we are led to believe that all players are being treated equally with equal opportunity at Wests Tigers - sounds like Ballins spot is guaranteed whether he turns up or not, Pascoe where the hell are you?

Well written TT. I wrote yesterday that someone was telling porkies and we now know Taylor told porkies' during two radio interviews. The real Jason Taylor has shown his true colours.

Think of the squad of players now knowing anything their coach tells them may not necessarily be the truth.

Lets see if this becomes official first. If it is though we are really going all in with the sacking of Robbie which to me has just been terribly handled.

We had better have a good year next year or Taylor is going to look even more like a complete moron.

Farah is privately seething? Who bloody cares. Farah is doing what's best by himself digging his heels in, why wouldn't Ballin do the same thing when he is looking at reserve grade at Manly?

Do as I say not as I do?

LOL… JT does not make the decisions to make signings public. Of course he will deny it if pressed. It is standard fare for the game. You carry on like everything he does is an unprecedented move in League whereas they are everyday occurrences.

yeah I don't understand the underhandedness going on, especially if it's from the club. If he has signed, just say it.

Can the club do anything right at this stage?? We've only heard the coach deny it….....

I wonder though, with all this drama still going on, what exactly happened since April?

YEAH and people are convinced that Farah was responsible for sacking two coaches - when boards and CEOs sack coaches not players!!! Quite frankly if the deal was done a month ago and is being reported by various media sources someone needs to announce it and I dont care who it is - memberships are for sale - it needs to clarified today.

So much for the Tigers trying to treat this whole situation with the up most respect for Farah. Sounds like they've gone out of their way to do the exact opposite.

Pascoe should make a public statement to confirm or deny this signing. This should include a statement clarifying Taylor's radio interviews and the answers he provided on this matter. Specifically, does the CEO and Board support Taylor's answers? Note Manly supporters were posting that Ballin had told Fox Sports he signed a 2 year deal with WTs!

What a idiotic thing to say.

Taylor like ever coach and rugby league official in the game sometimes has to either lie to the media or play with the words such as signing v almost signed v signed.

If he didn't ever lie to the media then he should 100% BE SACKED.

If you think different I am sorry to say then you and anyone who agrees with you are dead set idiots.

If Ballin has or does sign with the club then club and player can announce it when they are good and ready and not just because someone asks. Even if he has already signed or mayby will sign but contracts take time (and also have now a 10 day cooling off period before they can be announced after registration with NRL which was the change bought in after the DCE). Mayby the club has only just signed it but hasnt registered yet , etc, etc
