I'll bet this idiot ends up at the Roosters

I can see it now.
We'll sack him and he will spend a year out of the game. Then Easts will sign him up under the guise of rehabilitating him and helping him get his life back on track.

Please, if he's found guilty he'll never play again. Please spare us of "oh a rich club will reap the benefits of our hard work". No they won't, not this time. The guy is a tosser of the highest order, this isn't a DUI, he's threatened to take someone's life. And the funny thing about it is, he's not even that good. Good riddance.

I hope they do, for his sake.

Why? This guy is a loser, why would you want him anywhere near the game. Grubs like him don't deserve the privilege. Let him go bust his backside working a real job 5 days a week like the rest of the world. No sympathy and no well wishes from me.

Yep.

Overated. Underbrained.

Doesnt deserve to be spending time in society. Needs to be contained in an institution, either criminal or mental.

Writing the Emily Seebohm on your wrist smacks of stupidity.

Offering your coach out into the carpark smacks of stupidity.

Refusing to leave a nightclub smacks of stupidity.

Stalking someone and threatening to murder them goes well beyond all that. He must seriously have some psychological deficiencies to carry on like that. His behaviour has degraded as time has gone on, he needs some serious help to address his mental issues. The community owes it to him for the safety of everyone else, much less himself.

That said, he needs to face up to what he has done and accept the consequences. I'd say he is finished in the NRL.

It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall to hear what his parents think about this latest incident.

I think it's sad. As simple as that. I hope he has people around him to support him.

One of the best posts I have read on this forum. Well written LCA. I hope the club support the young man and get him back playing in the NRL.

You only get so many chances in life, at some stage you have to stop and listen to people's advice. The kid had a massive chance to set himself up for life on the back of his football ability, now he will be on struggle street forever.

You never know, sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you see the light, the kids young enough to turn things around

Interestingly the article says Farah is "former Wests Tigers captain"

Certainly has accumulated some rap sheet for someone so young playing in the NRL. As others have said he certainly has several serious issues which need to be addressed but he may now have run out of chances in the NRL or at the very least at the Tigers. Talent will only take you so far in life and he appears to have wasted his, hopefully he can rise above these problems and come out the other side a decent individual but he has a long way to go!!

Dear oh dear, this is surely going to upset the image of the game in the US that Hayne has been building.

It's ok Mac, the NFL already have enough knobs and criminals running around, they probably won't even notice this.

Looks like we all have differing opinions on what should and what should not be done with Lodge. I guess we'll just have to let the club and the justice system sort it all out. All I know is it's more bad press for Wests Tigers - is this ever gonna end? We're the pariahs of the NRL at the moment.

Sorry for those of you who read this last time I posted it.

I asked Lodge at the fan day two years ago about the Bellamy incident. I asked with a laugh, it wasn't insulting but I guess it could be taken as bait at a stretch (I was standing with my 4 and 6 year old.

He didn't say a word. He looked at me like he was going to stand up and rip my head off. There was an anger and volatility there.

We have all seen people like Lodge in our lives. They have a loose screw that with the wrong lubricant comes out and drops into the reasoning gearbox.

I thought Lodge was let go at the end of the season. I know Buchanan was resigned but haven't seen anything about Lodge. Does anyone know any different?

I read this in another blog. 'The Tigers are turning over a large percentage of their playing roster, with departees including Keith Galloway, Pat Richards, Matthew Lodge, Keith Lulia, Joel Luani, Kurtis Rowe, Sitaleki Akauola, Brendan Santi, Te Maire Martin, Shannon McDonnell and Jack Buchanan'.

Hes a bloody criminal….he threatened peoples lives for christs sake...yet he needs help?

He needs a locked cell

bleeding hearts, yet no one seems too worried about his victims, havent seen them mentioned here at all

Back in my late Teens and earliy 20's ( a long long time ago) I had friends that acted like idiots (like Lodge) some if them changed their life's around, others didn't. I hope he has some support. It could go either way for him at this point in time.
