I'd enjoy my wine a lot more if Elderton Command came in 2ltr bottles…

His only problem is that he is a smartarse knobhead whose antics have finally seen him face some repercussions for once in his life.
Probably wouldn't have been a bad thing if the NYPD had put a few rounds of lead in him to bring him to his senses, not to kill him obviously, but it would be a pretty effective dose of reality for the goose.
@Byron Bay Fan said:You are correct when stating most people can handle grog but for the few percent that cannot then what is their destiny when grog is the lubricant of social life in modern Australia? Who's fault is that though? Why should normal people with self control not have the choice of partaking in alcohol use be punished because certain deadbeats cannot control their use of it?

How many times have we seen someone whom should only have two drinks at the most keep on drinking coz already in the mood. Others eat too much etc etc. but don't get locked up for doing so. I havent heard of people going on rampages like Lodge did just because they were hungary. He is a buffoon. If you want to outlaw everything that people can abuse where does it stop?….Make it illegal to own rope because someone can strangle somebody with it?
That guy whom I know killed a friend, he had a large young family. It was in the Philippines and being surrounded by relos no one testified against him so he was released, he was a terrific father otherwise and I am glad he escaped.

@Curaeus said:This is a real tragedy and not just for young Lodge. Imagine how his poor parents must be feeling. Good chance of their son doing some time even with the plea bargain and then there's the lawsuit seeking millions. Great Christmas the family must be having. Is the NRL providing any support, counselling etc for the family? I assume we aren't.

Maybe he should be off all social media, getting a proper job and getting his arse into gear.
