He wasn’t on big coin 400k off memory and tbh he’s solid enough. Every team needs a Matulino he makes a lot of key tackles and some tough runs. His contract also ends next year.

@Demps You can't say he sucked at the dogs when shifted to fb he was one of their best players. Heck he was even discussed in Origin talks you can't say he's a complete dud. You would have thought moving to a new club would have helped maybe making him captain when he probably didn't expect it wasn't such a great idea but who else do you pick...

@upthetigers Not sure how many games you watched but Hoppa was way better than him at fullback.
He was so good they released him and signed a reserve grader (Nick Meany) to replace him - who is going quite well.

Gotta feeling Mbye will never play ORIGIN.
He's a media man - talks the talk, speaks well, says the clichés and doesn't deliver.

I like him but lets be honest... the thread is 100% correct.

Twal is essentially a rookie compared to those two and he's outplaying them every week.
Our best front rower for sure.

Parra recruits really do us well it seems.
Maybe we should check out their ranks and see who else we can get that'll impress.

No excuses I don’t thank Matulino is the problem nor is he paid huge dollars. Issue is we need better front rowers as he’s a bench or replacement prop.

You can't be saying that with a straight face Hoppa would be one of the worst fullbacks in the NRL he offers NOTHING in attack. They released Mbye not because they wanted to but cause they had to to release cap pressure. Not sure what games you were watching if you didn't think Mbye was one of their best players. A big part of their improvement was due to his switch to fb.

Masters was totally poor he needs to be dropped ...this type of performance is becoming the norm these days , he is not a centre to slow and very lazy , Momo in next week or the coach is a joke !

Though I think the quality of our cattle is severely lacking, this is probably the best we could do right now.

I mean, I think we all knew at the beginning of the year, but it's not the best side on paper is it?

Matts and Packer have been, for the most part, disappointing. Mbye this year has been nothing short of awful, Jennings pretty non-existent. There's just not enough quality in the side to make up for the short comings.
