defensively Mmbye is great we dont leak too many points down his side and it would be great if he went to Nofo's side might help the defensive aspect of his game

After last night, I think he has enough problems with himself.

Let alone worry about the other side and Nofo.

Then again as you said if he went to the RHS it might help the defensive side of Mbyes game.

Everyone wants him dropped.... but WHO do you replace him with? We literally have no options for our backline at the moment. He will have to play no matter what.

Replace him with the wind....at least it would strike a blow.

Mbye has been absolute mud all year. I can't comprehend how he became the captain of this side, I've never once seen him add any value at all. His one redeeming quality has been his defence and that was pus tonight. Has to be first man out of the place. Put a for sale sign on him and get him out of here.

He has played 2 descent games this season, Bulldogs & Panthers but was ordinary prior and i heard he was carrying an injury prior, so thought was coming good.
Problem is we have a lot of not so smart footballers (All teams do) but he says the right things and has been educated, so talks the talk and the boys listen.
He certainly is a Yes man, our problem is that we have paid overs for him and he is here till 2022 what a great signing for him.
Nothing will change this season based upon our depth part of the reason we are not also a Top 8 side.

To be fair to Mbye.
Souths first try was off an unofficated obstruction.
Mybe came up to the line and Roberts at speed hit his inside shoulder.
Should of been a penalty to us.
If he is guilty of anything in that play it is for not falling down like a sack as what he actually does in a split second is attempt a tackle on Roberts.
If that went to the bunker I would say No Try.
Mbye does not come in to tackle Roberts he is hit by him at the line.

I really don't need to add to all the negativity but, like others, I need to get it off my chest. Mbye was worse than useless tonight. Worse because if he wasn't there we wouldn't have leaked so many points. The most frustrating aspects of his performance were that he didn't appear to either try hard or care. He looked disinterested. And no one's mentioned his totally ineffective hit ups from our end. Smashed and forced back every time. Why would you even direct him to take those runs - it made it even harder for the next runner. And the captaincy? Does anyone ever see him talking animatedly to the team behind the posts? As I said, the worst aspect was his apparent disinterest. You can't have a disinterested player, let alone captain. Finally, what a poor example and liability for the debutante. The young fella did well, given the lack of support or leadership inside him.

What about the captain's challenge last night? I know it wasn't successful, but Mbye showed no interest in challenging it, it took all of his teammates begging him to before he actually questioned it.

Was that his first challenge this season??

That was an astute observation. Yet more evidence that he's not interested.

Did any of you guys notice that when Hoffman got the try no one came anywhere near him to do the usual congratulatory stuff they do by jumping all over one another etc..l.I could be wrong but I didn't see it on tv anyway - if so that was a bit miserable:angry:

They are not giving a player away, they are letting someone else take over his payments although there would be some loss. Like Kenny Rodgers says you’ve got to know when to hold them,know know when to fold them,know when to walk away,know when to run. They should have ran.Now I don’t think anyone would touch him the horse has bolted.
