McIntyre

I'm not too bothered by his run metres, he's not that type of player and we have enough players who do a job for us in making dirty metres. His defence is what I like the most, when he hits, he doesn't fall away or arm grab, he drives with his shoulder which many players seem to forget these days and his ability to make a tackle with no assistance is impressive. Good player to have on the bench moving forward given Madge's blueprint for success is built off tough defence.

This guy is a the type of player all good teams need. One of the starting pack put a foot out of line and he is ready.

Tough. I dare say thats why he has been promoted, talent wise we have had this player. Very rarely under some dud coaches have they also had toughness.

Teams look like they are already reluctant to run at him. Put him in the middle with Twal and teams will have to go round us.

Hardnut who gives his all

Not sure how accurate it is but Clarkey is saying that McIntyre has signed with the Titans on a two year deal? But different to what has been said here.

Clarkey

The Gold Coast Titans have signed Tigers back row Samuel McIntyre on a two-year deal, according to sources.
___
McIntyre, 22, made his NRL debut last season playing 12 games for the Wests Tigers.
___
"Fans can expect to see someone who is tough, runs hard and does all the simple things really well.
___
"He's a hard worker and that's his character. He'll get out there and do what he needs to for his team mates he's very selfless," his former coach Michael Maguire said prior to his debut.
___
No official announcement has come from the Gold Coast Titans at this stage, but the deal itself has been signed and I expect an announcement to come early next week.
___
💬What are your thoughts on this signing?

Loved the visual of him casually walking across the field with a face covered in blood. He's a tough bugger

Has a big motor, we can customise the body over the offseason- McIntyre and Blore putting the tiger back Into the tigers next season ... I love the commitment, aggression and arrogance of these 2 guys - great 2nd row partners.

IF true, we will struggle to even have a squad, let alone a decent one.

Sam McIntyre liked the post on Instagram, so I’d say that’d be pretty telling....

Didn’t we already have him signed like a week ago according to the Pom?

People are saying it's a different Sam McIntyre that the Titans have signed.

I did see some junior kiwi called Sam McIntyre playing the other day lol

Well if the tigers have actually signed him like people on here have said, now is the time to announce it 😂don’t leave your fans in the dark stressing

If he's gone, that's a real shame. From a guy that didn't enthuse me in before debuting in first grade he's really kicked on and showed some promise.

It just doesn’t make sense, unless Titans blew our offer out of the water. Enormous upside and the games he was out there was a noticeable lack of intensity in the forwards
