Michael Jennings To Tigers ??

Tigers should ensure that all of these rookies are signed to play for at least next year and everyone associated with Tigers should be well and truly thankful for it.

Regarding the Jennings situation. There is a way that this actually explains some other things.

Moses and the Tigers had all but agreed to terms on Jennings coming here which is why the Tigers have released Heighington and allowed Ayshford to look elsewhere (which is probably moot now that Ryan walked). After the Tigers released them the Dragons chimed in with their own offer to which the Panthers were more interested in. Moses, fearing that he would come out looking awful if the Tigers moved players on without getting the result, blocked the Dragons move.

At first I was sceptical but I think Jennings>Tigers might actually happen.

i did not believe it possible, but am hearing things that make me think we are very much in the running.

His manager would have a lot of say like they all do. I know our club has its problems but I would still rather play for the mighty tigers rather than that drag queen crap

Honestly Goose , how can we be in the running if Jennings doesn't know who is coaching us next season

The coach we sign might be hated by Jennings and vice versa

A bit of common sense needs to be used , no player of any standing will sign a contract with us if they don't know who the coach is

possibly.

Not always a high consideration for all players.

I reckon the biggest concern is whether the new coach wants him….

Anyway, i gave this rumour no credence at all, but in recent times, guys who know (from the penrith club) have indicated that it is a real possibilty, by no means a big deal, but at least there is negotiations happening, unlike most rumours.

Not all prospective players are going to be precious about who's coaching or the placement of the leg press machine. However I think most would want to see a few signs that the club is looking like a professional outfit again. Might not matter so much who the coach is, but it would be a good look if we had one.

Jennings won't really care who the coach is when you consider that his current one has shown that he doesn't fear dropping him.

That doesn't make sense at all. Surely if you've had the recent experience of being dropped by a coach who doesn't fancy you, the first thing you'd want to do when lining up a new club is try to ensure the guy who picks the team is going to want you there? Unless you're suggesting there literally isn't any other club who'd take Jennings and his choice is basically Windsor Wolves or hope for the best at the rudderless Tigers - which seems pretty unlikely for a representative centre.

My hunch is that if this rumour has any legs at all the Tigers' chances improve with every silent day that goes past. If I was Jennings I'd want to know who I'd be playing under at a new club before signing.

its amzing what a two liner TWEET and 1 small paragraph in the paper can do..

it has next to no legs other then those two things and we are 9 pages into discussion basing things on hopes and dreams for some

Is it true he went on the end of season trip with wests????

OK Cosimo and MacDougall

You go to a 2nd interview for a job , and you notice you haven't met the boss or any one who seems in charge

So you ask the question "When do I meet the boss" and they reply "Well we don't know who the boss is yet , cause we just turned him into the janitor "

And they add " Could be anyone , but we'll let you know Congratulations you have the job "

And you would both accept the position :crazy

What if they just hired your last boss , who you told to take this job and shove it where the sun doesn't shine a week ago because he was a mongrel .

See my point now ??

Yeah except there is literally no chance he will be being coached by Ivan Cleary or Phil Gould next year and in actual fact could make a decision to come here based on Steve Georgallis alone. If the president of the company offered me a job but hadn't hired a staff supervisor yet I wouldn't care.
