Mitch Brown leaves Wests Tigers

Had nothing to do with the salary cap…He such a nice kid so we thought we would let him go to the dogs. Give the kid a break and make the dogs a little stronger. Now if you believe that you still believe in Santa.

I say we either had cap problems or are freeing some space for a late signing.Sheens knows like the rest of us you need a truck load of depth if you have any chance of making the top four so why would you give one of your best depth players away and in doing so give the dogs a leg up. I smell a rat

Its obviously cap problems. I read or heard somewhere they had a meeting with Schubert early last week regarding a cap problem with the Moltzen drama.
The next week they release Brown.
Coincidence?

I'm dissapointed Brown has gone. He is a very under rated player.

Sorry to see Mitch go. I think he is a great player & very reliable. Best of luck to him with the Bulldogs.

Glad you all have your tinfoil hats on.

How about this scenario - player trains all off season with hopes for starting fullback spot. Deep down, said player actually wants to crack the centres, but the incumbents are not going to be dislodged. He barely gets a look in during the trials and a boom 20 year old not only gets starting fullback spot Rd 1, but has his contract extended for 3 years. New signing from Parra gets the bench spot.

Player gets upset that all his hard work is going to waste playing NSW Cup. Knows there are opportunities in the backlines of other clubs and gets his manager to put the feelers out.

:crazy

Pffft, since when does common sense come into it?

Don't let your well thought out and structured theory using all evidence at hand get in the way of speculation based on "he said/she said" mud slinging and conspiracy theories.

Next you'll tell me the Earth is round.

Every one likes a good story…... Especially when most of it is made up. You have to put a little faith in the story and the human mind does the rest. Who cares about facts after you have a believe

According to today's Sydney Morning Herald (small article, back page), we have financial pressures due to dried up leagues club funding.

This is a little random, but id love to see Tiger99's thoughts on Mitch going? You out there 99!? Or are you on the dogs forum now?? hehe, just checkinnggggg..

Are you saying Tiger99 is Mitch? I hope not, Tiger99 was always good for reliable inside info.

i had my suspicions!, but i was wrong as always!! I can now see where Tiger99 posted on another thread last night so thankfully he is still with us and hopefully still brings us some good inside info!!

I am 99% sure I know who Tiger99 is, he wont tell anyone but if you have read between lines on this foroum you can tell who he is.

Mitch is out for the season after doing the PCL in his knee. Poor guy.

PCL's are not season ending ,they don't do surgery on them as they usually heal themselves . worst case 8-10 weeks Remember Benji did his in Rd 1 a few years ago

They may do an arthroscope to clean it up a bit , but thats about it

lets be honest…who would not rather him over tquiri??? he is way better than tquiri who remembers his game winning intercept...

I'd take Tuqiri any day of the week.

are you for real? back in the day yes….not now he is 32 and slow

Yes I'm for real. You just don't know what you're talking about, but that will come with age and experience hopefully.

Yep I'd defiantly take tuqiri now - he is 2 games back from injury I'd take lote over most fg wingers let alone Mitch brown

Dogs homepage says "ACL - Season"

Actually,on form over the past two seasons, nether Lote nor Brown are NRL standard by a long way.Brown has had numerous opportunities & offered nothing more than "doesnt make major blunders" as his plaudit, whereas Lote looks like he's played one, maybe two seasons too many & most imposrtnatly, actually believes this himself.
Neither will be missed in 2013

Gee that's tough, lote was brilliant in 2010, in 2011 every game he played he was playing with injury or just came back from a nasty injury and was well down on match fitness and most of all confidence, in 2012 he's finding his feet again which is hard when u play on the end of a back line which has failed to fire this year, lote is all class and an elite athlete, he's one of the best wingers in the comp when he gets good ball!
Go lote!!!

Your Lote bashing is undeserved and annoying - show some respect, TOF!
