Mitch Moses Denied Release - Confirmed

Im with you on that. Moses hasn't changed the way he plays in the last 2 weeks it is just the way he is, rocks or diamonds. More often than not it's rocks.

I don't see the point in letting him leave now. If we are any chance of challenging the top 8 he needs to be here.

Happy we didn't up his offer, $850k for Moses is absurd, there are a number of better value options on the market for next year.

Challenging the top 8?

"Tell him he's dreaming, son"

With an attitude like that you might end up getting a start!

I know we are next to no chance but you don't abandon a season 6 weeks in. That's the kind of soft mentality that got us here.

Soft mentality from the supporters? you kidding me? if we didnt have the softest forward pack in the southern hemisphere and also didnt have a retarded backline us supporters might actually see some final action. We are only saying what we do based on performances. If this was a real job there would be alot of fired people looking for work this week…

I never said anything about supporters. The team is soft, the club is soft. The mentality of "let him go because we are no chance anyway" is the sort of soft decision we have made over and over. We let players go for better offers at the expense of our own depth.

Time to get tough. The club comes first and I don't give a toss what anyone says we won't be a better team without Moses this year. We have no halves depth as it is. Once we have a replacement then he can go.

If Mitchell Moses wants to leave the Wests Tigers to Parramatta, he needs to ask for a release himself

If Mitchell Moses wants a release from his final year at the Wests Tigers to join Parramatta this week, he needs to march into Ivan Cleary's office on Tuesday morning and demand it himself.

Not his manager. He has to do it himself.
\
\
As it stands, the only request for a release has come from his manager, which came straight after the club withdrew its offer to Moses over a fortnight ago.

Cleary hasn't spoken to Moses about leaving. Nor has Moses given any indication with his attitude and performances that he wants out. Perhaps he wants to see out the year? Maybe he wants to leave immediately? Either way, it's unlikely the Tigers will allow him to walk away until he tells them he wants out.
\
\
After Monday's victory against the Tigers, Moses' manager, Isaac Moses, was in the Parramatta dressing sheds. You don't need two guesses to work out one of the topic of conversations would have been.

Cleary doesn't want to let Moses go. He also doesn't want a player in his team that doesn't want to be around. You're either on the bus or off the bus, remember?
\
\
\
"I haven't changed my mind," Cleary said after the loss to the Eels. "If there's a request that comes in, I'll consider it. I haven't changed. I've said many times that Mitch is a part of the team and he certainly hasn't shown anything to suggest he's not. He's a talented player. I haven't spoken to him about it since the first day. I haven't considered it, I've been too busy doing other things."

A fortnight ago Wests Tigers hierarchy were resigned to losing Aaron Woods and knew James Tedesco was standing right behind him at the exit doors. But after a shock victory against the Cowboys in Cleary's first game in charge of the joint venture, they noticed a change in the mindset of the players.
\
\
\
\
Suddenly, there was a feeling that if they managed to muster a victory against Parramatta on Easter Monday, the players would buy into the vision of Cleary. That they'd not only return to their seats on the bus, but they'd willingly buckle themselves in for the bumpy ride.

So after a heartbreaking loss to the Eels at ANZ Stadium, where exactly does that leave the big two? Keeping in mind that in five days time they will run out against the team they could join next year when they square off against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Sunday.

"I don't want to rush into a decision and then make the wrong one," Tedesco said. "I have had contract dramas before [reneging on a deal to join Canberra in 2014]. So I want to make it right before I rush into anything just to get it over. We'll take as much time as we need. We had a bit of instability in the coaching in the first few weeks when we didn't know who was in and who was out. Ivan came in and gave us a simple game plan. That's helped our footy on the field.

"You can see the improvement we have had in the last few weeks and that is positive for me and positive for the team that we're going in a positive direction. It's good to have that. I am just taking everything into consideration."

If Moses has to do the catwalk himself and it has not occurred can we be certain that he has a Parra contract under his arm? Maybe it was only speculation/reaction on his part. Confirmed by he does not which dressing shed he is going to.

I really really wonder if we somehow managed to pull a win out at the death yeasterday, that this would make a difference to woods & tedescos thinking?

The game was the same game for the majority of it…..do they not know that you can play well and lose, you can play bad and win?
Are they simplifying it...are they just fobbing off journos? Have the run out of excususes?
I wish a journo would reply that ''the world doesnt revolve around you....the club needs to replace you if you leave and your delay may prevent them in securing a replacement"

Never these guys fault tho....always someone elses fault

Kids these days, spoilt and ruining footy culture which honestly turns me off the game, the average person on the street is battling for every dollar they make at work and these footy players think they are bigger than the game demanding top dollar.

I don't mind releasing Moses as long as we get a player swap deal with Parra. There was a suggestion by Kevin Walters on Fox that Clint Gutherson would be ideal swap for Moses.
Not sure Parra would agree but I'd take him. Can play anywhere in the backline and would fill in at 5/8 this year as we look for an experienced half to partner Brooks for next year.
The other player I'd take would be Nathan Brown. Wouldn't solve our lack of a half but he'd be good for us. Never understood why Potter (IIRC) let him go to Souths in the first place.

Off field issues Was why.

As for Moses will be gone this week I'm told, you will get an idea today when teams are named today if he will play this week or not though.

Also at the end of game yesterday he was asked "which dressing room are you going to" Moses replied "I have no idea" poor form from Moses on that one.

Personally I feel he shouldn't be let go. Talks that moeroa is the player parra are only willing to swap or give a financial compensation and that's not enough in my opinion

Gross back cover on the DT today.

Moeroa would be a first rate aquisition. Before Parra turned him into an unthinking battering ram he was an excellent centre, with good feet, top end speed and brutal D. God knows why he's wasting his talent in the backrow

Moeora just re-signed. I'd say the only players Parra would be willing to trade imo are only ones that are off contract. And they're all bums.

I'd take that swap.

Dear God, I love the tigers always find a way to let me down

Looks like another week with Moses. No suitable trade offer has been tabled from the eels at this stage. Nice to see the tigers play hardball

On 2Sm Tunks reckons Tigers are asking for Peni Terepo.

If that was the case peni would be on the train now to concord. He's also off contract this year so no way parra would Baulk at that. But I highly doubt that's who Tigers want in return

Great to hear. If they want moses now they should have to part with someone of our choosing (within reaaon obviously but someone Ivan is happy with) or they can wait until 2018.
