Moltzen

Agree with the comments, Moltzen should be our bench utility.

Please for the love of god Tigers management, get a new coach, I am sick of this same crap year after year. I want to follow a team that puts in every week, someone who brings in **NEW** ideas, **FRESH** attitude and shakes up some of these players so they can finally live up to their potential and compete in every game every year.

Please. I talked it up before the game because he has the ability and he showed it tonight. He was one of our better players.

Turn it up, his defence was rubbish and his tries were based out of support play and nothing more.

Seriously you guys aren't watching the game at all. He was good tonight and he should be at fullback for the rest of the year. Yes he is learning and he will make mistakes but it is worth the risk at this time.

As for support play there has been plenty of complaints that we don't do this well. What do you expect of him.

:roll your off your head. If we continue with him at the back we wont finish any higher then 10th.

He is a good player and finished off some great work to score.

Apart from that he was average. No line breaks, plenty of ineffective defense, poor positioning and again let a try in by refusing to contest a bomb.

No - I would admit it if he had a shocker. He was one of our best.

ok so you watched the game but 95% of us didnt ….he was woeful tonight , he is always woeful when he plays fullback ... i posted last week that brown isnt a centres backside and i was jeered at ...brown dosent have a clue in defence at centre.... if and its a big if ,,,moltzen has to play , just move brown back and play moltz in the centres .. forget mckinnon he keeps letting us down with the same injury he has carried for a couple of years.. how good did the broncos fullback look ,,,, and his game was simple ... get to the ball quick and hit it back fast... how many times did he make it back to the 30 or 40...thats less work his forwards have to do rucking up the pill....and who is there fullback ? some rookie ?

Move on everyone - you are all wrong.

Gee I thought Utai was taller than Moltzen given his "leaps" to take the high ball…To find out he's taller than McKinnon is a surprise...I guarantee if there were measurements for **"ticker"** size Moltz would have the smallest!

You've got no idea.

Costs us at least two tries a game because he doesn't out his body on the line. He isn't a fullbacks backside.

@willow said:
True. Despite his 2 tries, he's not a fullback and his defence tonight was poor. Unfortunately the Tigers really lack a fullback who puts them on the front foot from the first tackle.

Bingo…

He's the fullback. Every other team has a fullback who contests bombs and actually comes down with them. And he's still obsessed with throwing the ball 30m to a winger instead of running it back. Costs us metres every time he does it.

Have to agree - the young Brisbane FB ran the ball back straight and hard on every kick and made at least 20 mtrs each time - thats 20 mtrs less that the forwrds have to run back to get in the line. our attitude seems to be to play the ball square or run sideways until the forwards are back - dumb!!!

Spot on. Moltzen walks the ball back and then tries to palm it off to someone else because he doesn't want to be tackled. Pathetic.

Moltzen has to be the 14 jumper. Only option at the moment. He really should be playing state.

Dude with the sense.
Moltzen is the weakest link on the team at the moment, no argument.
Needs to dissapear and come back with some confidence.

most fullbacks catch a ball and the main objective is to get the ball back to the middle of the field , so you have both sides to work with …. mo mot moltz he takes the ball on the full props then habds off to his winger in a worse postion ... watch the game again you diehard sheens/moltz at fullback lovers .. the bloke is frighten when at the back

Tiger 05 I watched the game . Completely sober as well . What did you see Moltzen do that very few others did not . As an ex fullback he does not cut it He seems to lack communication skills needed at back . Very unconfident at the back under high ball . Support play at times maybe average (but garbage when compared to MacKinnon). Leaves his wingers high and dry with kick returns . Tell me one fullback in the competition Moltzen is better than

Moltzen is a good player when he is peaking - but he is no fullback!! And should never, ever be played there!! Tonight we played without a real fullback and a pair of genuine centres…and it showed!! Brown is not a centre or winger...but he can play fullback. So why not put him there?? I feel sorry for the lower graders - you centres and fullbacks...why hang around? You have no chance to play FG at Tigers! In order for that to happen we would need about another 13 major injuries. Yes I am pissed....18 points we gave to Brisbane tonight. Ok the ref gave 'em 6! They gave us nothing!!!

I've always maintained that Brown's best position is fullback.

Watching Moltzen at Fullback is painful. Especially when you see Brown on the screen a few metres away
