Momorovski wants out

Always find it annoying when our laundry is aired and felt no different with the possible JAC-Talau trade, the Aloiai stuff and now the recent Momirovski talk.
The club's values are supposed to be Respect, Team and Excellence(I think?) but the way in which some negotiations go down only give off an impression the team's trademark is the exact opposite.
No one wants to read players are not feeling valued by the club, but who could actually blame them when certain stuff is said in the media?

He might not be walking into a first grade position at another club but he's an asset to our club and all I ever want is for all our players is to give their best - which he does - and not feel undervalued or somewhat mistreated.

Agree with all your points however I feel this situation is the media portraying us in a negative light for the sake of a news article.

Momo would have viewed the line up and made the assumption JTJ and JL will be first choice and if that is what the coach wants then there is nothing wrong with that. Madge would have been open and honest with him (which is actually a good thing) and now Momo want's a starting opportunity elsewhere...totally understandable. However we cannot just let players walk with nothing in return.

The media have just chosen to turn this into us not being able to retain players when in reality it happens at most clubs for non starting players. I don't think the club has done anything wrong, and it going to the media is most likely the work of player agents.

Well well well .... so much for the coach saying or stating that Paul was still apart of his ideas come season 2021. I really think this absolutely stinks when you think of the 2 that are probably going to line up in the 3 and 4 in rd 1. And I wonder why I still follow this rabble.
My first question is : Who’s kicking for goal in rd 1?????????????

That question is probably the most important for 2021 but clearly the West Tigers are clearly going to dismiss it at their AND their fans huge cost.

He still is a part of his idea for 2021 - that’s why he’s not letting him go.
What’s your problem?
Both of the centres in front of him possess vastly more talent.
If they don’t perform he gets his shot.
Personally I hope we swap him out to Penrith so we get a fullback this year.

I rate Momo but if we were to trade him out the ideal scenario would be that we got Laurie this year, he blows the doors off it, and Mbye then wants out early.

I'd be happy to sacrifice Momo to get rid of Mbye a season early.

Happy to keep Momorovski, but happier to get a player that will fill the bigger depth holes in the 1 and 6 jerseys a year early.

That was said before Jimmy became available, and he is still currently in the plans. Madge said he want's him here as a back up.

We have all cried out for speed in the backline for years...Tigers actively went out and purchased speed but now Momo is meant to be guaranteed starting spot?

If Roberts and BJ train the house down in the pre season they have every right to a starting spot. If Momo really deserves the starting spot he will out train those two and earn it round 1. You can't let players walk into spots because they want it.

Mybe will be goal kicker round 1, Douehi round 2 onwards...rather simple. Momo is no specialist goal kicker, I would put him at the same level as the above two so I don't see why he can walk straight into a side because of that?

I like momo I think he is a really solid player but if the tigers can improve by swapping him out for Laurie then we should all be 100% for it. Our team has been mediocre for too long and now we are in an aggressive rebuild stage, if you want this rebuild to continue for another 10 years then we will let players see out all their contracts and keep doing what were doing.

Disappointed to hear this on many fronts
Firstly,he sacrificied his NRL slot with us at our benefit to join Storm...he did US a favor.
Secondly ,he did better than ok..Bellamy said he wld have been in the run on side for the finals if he hadnt been injured,so hes obviously got some talent.I can think of any other WT player who wld make Storm run on side btw
Lastly, given the above,I cant see why he wldnt be one of the first centres picked....no-one has any idea whether JTJ is gonna make it(including himself),and Joey L may or may not turn up just like his entire career
U wonder why players arent loyal to WTs..we show no loyalty or comittment to them

If the Jet and JLo are fit n healthy they're our starting pair, it's that simple.
Not the most reliable 2 players so Momo could probably see a fair bit of gametime but there's no way he's getting a spot in front of them unless he's improved out of sight.

I can't see him getting a starting gig at any NRL club, he'll have to wait for his opportunity just like everyone else

He'd get a starting spot at Bulldogs in the centres.

We will stand firm, we are not soft. We will not be dictated to, and players will be forced to honour their contract.

Just like Matterson, Aloiai.

Here we go again. For all the media spin the club has caved in twice and there is now an expectation from the playing group that they can walk away if things are not going their way & they have a better offer.

Based on history JTJ and BJ will be lucky to see the season out and we have limited options in terms of back-ups.

I dont think Momo or the club has done anything wrong...the media are making something out of nothing here

Can completely understand Momo wanting out and if we can get Laurie early its a win win.

Limited back ups? We have Talau, Mybe (if Laurie is here), Hoffman, Cini and AJ - all specialist centres... Centre were stacked.

Big chance Jtj doesn’t start the year in first grade, hasn’t even started full contact at training yet,Would of thought Momirovski would most likely start round one in either the 4 or the 6.Im guessing this is more about the extra $$ that dogs have already offered and Panthers may match?

Which other clubs have players that have recently signed a contract ask for a release as soon as they don't make first grade.

My understanding is our backline is:
Mbye, Nofa, JTJ, BJ, Talau.

Available (apart from Momo) are AJ & Cini. We are one injury away from someone who can't tackle being first picked.

Cini for Laurie sounded like a fair swap, considering the club has already signed Laurie,Momirovski for Laurie isn’t a good deal for mine

Club playing it smart here, letting the other suitors know he wont be released without "what we want in return"....watch this space....Momo will be released once we get what we want....

They can have Momo if they take Mbye as well.

Yes like we got adequate compensation for Matterson & commercial benefit for Aloiai.

Someone who claimed to be close to Momo (or close to a 'friend' of Momo) was saying not long ago how he loved it at the Tigers.

I responded with surprise, as I couldn't imagine him being happy.

This is not surprising at all. While I rate him, there's just no room for him in our 17.

Happy the club is trying to get something out of it.

This. Momo is surplus after all.

I believe the Tigers began full contact training a couple of weeks ago.

Alot if they're second string players...you just don't hear from them as the media don't report it. Again, Momo isn't leaving because he is unhappy or wants more money he is just looking for a starting opportunity.

We will (should) only release if we receive Laurie in return meaning Mybe and Talau are the direct back ups. AJ will go to the wing if Talau is needed in the centre. Again, we will still have Hoffman and Cini...how many centres do we need?

I am only for releasing if we get Laurie not just for the sake of it which looks to be the case as Madge has said.

Everyone is happy until their club signs a better player in their choice position.
