Momorovski wants out

We have shown after the Matto issue we will no longer release a player unless we have a plan to upgrade his position with a new signing(s).

Madge saying he is not going anywhere is to put more pressure on Penrith to release Laurie if the rumors' are true that they really do want him - If we show we're too desperate to get Laurie this year Ivan will have all the negotiation power.

The swap makes a lot of sense. If JTJ or JL don't fire in the centers (being contract years I actually believe we may get the best out of them but) We still have a ready made centre in Talau who can slot straight in. I doubt we end up dropping both centres at the same time. If Laurie comes in it means Mybe also becomes a back up for the other centre spot.

Mybe will then become our main fullback/5/8th back up which we were all concerned with the depth there.

We can all like Momo but in reality if it means getting Laurie it is great roster management. IF we cannot get Laurie in return then It would be best to keep Momo as our second centre/5/8th back up with Talau as Mybe will be occupied in the fullback spot.

Spot on. We get a player we want and let a player who doesn't want to be here, leave. Win / win.

He doesnt wanna be here because hes done the right thing by the club, proven himself in a premiership winning team, and on his return(after a 2 year contract extension) gets told hes gonna be totally shafted for a couple of chronic underperformers, albeit talented...but rarely deliver.
Ask yrself...why have they both been at half a dozen clubs....????
I simply cant believe we make these decisions...coach under pressure IMO.

Like any player at our club
If you want a starting spot you have got to fight for it and earn it 1st
There should be no guarantee starter at our club
If Paul is upset with our signings, he should grow some balls and fight for a spot
Unless of course he thinks he is not good enough

I have a sneaky feeling that Melbourne might be after him on the quiet

Geez some of you have revisionist history . Momo did not “star” for the storm . In fact he wasn’t first choice there , even before his injuries . He was a backup . So can we just get some perspective here or what ?
Also BJ , has been putting in this off season , as well as the jet , and because both those guys are way more talented than momo , if they are fit and firing , of course momo is going to be positioned behind those 2 . As well as Talau , who is a better footballer than him .

He’s had now, 3 months to show that he is the right option , and he hasn’t . Do you guys actually want to win ? Because if Madge can get Jimmy and BJ to buy in , that’s our best chance of winning . The buying in , was the issue , not the talent .

Putting in during the off-season and playing well on the field are quite different. I'll believe it when BJ puts in on the footy field and leads us to top 8 glory. Same with Jet.

???? It’s the offseason that coaches are watching mate . If momo was out performing the other guys , this wouldn’t be an issue , especially as BJ doesn’t have a contract guarantee after nov 1. If he was better he would be higher up the depth charts , and as frustrating as BJ was at times he is better than momo. It’s that simple . It’s not fair , it’s not right , but I’m sure there were no guarantees thrown momos way , outside of a roster spot this year .
BJ was crap because he was unfit. That’s as simple as it is .

And that pretty much sums up BJ's entire career. Mate he's known as the laziest player in the NRL and that's not just coming from me, speak to the numerous clubs that have sacked him

Like i've said, he's put in the hard yards, talked the talk now time to put those actions onto the field. Because so far he hasn't lived up to expectation and thats fact

As for Momo, I think he's a very capable first grader just in an unlucky position. You can't seriously have confidence that BJ / Jet will play consistent footy / not have a brain fart though. Otherwise you probably believe in the tooth fairy aswell. That's why i think players like Momo are more than valuable squad members

For sure ..
But they still have more upside than Momirovski who I’d happily trade for a Laurie or a washing machine

Sometimes washing machines don't work just like BJ and JTJ, but especially BJ.

TIGERS SWAP THAT COULD DELIVER FULLBACK TARGET A YEAR EARLY

The Wests Tigers are hopeful of luring fullback Daine Laurie to the club a season earlier with the Panthers showing interest in Paul Momirovski.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported Penrith are considering signing Momirovski in a deal which would potentially allow fullback Laurie the opportunity to leave immediately.

Laurie, who has played just three games since debuting last season is currently set to link with the Tigers in 2022 on a two-year-deal that takes him through to the end of the 2023 season.

However the Tigers are keen to have him at the club as soon as possible to fill a void at the back with Adam Doueihi shifting to five-eighth this season.

Momirovski was at the centre of the swap deal with the Storm that saw Harry Grant play at the Tigers last season.

Momirovski comes off contract at the end of the year, so it remains to be seen if the Panthers will sign him long-term.

If Momirovski joins the Panthers in 2021 it will be his fourth club in four years since debuting for the Roosters in 2018 as he joined the Tigers the following year in 2019 and played with the Storm last year.

Foxsports.com.au revealed that the Tigers are refusing to let Momirovski leave despite informing him he would not be a first-choice centre at Concord.

This makes the most sense. Hopefully it can happen. Not holding my breath though.

I would say the WT'S are playing hardball due to the interest of Penriff in MOMO this

WT'S are most likely playing hardball due to the interest shown by Penriff this is probably the only chance they have in getting Laurie whilst Momo has played OK in his WT'S game he's nit going to run 60 metres to score a try but 20 metres out he's always a chance probably not in Madges starting side but could prove worthwhile backup Madge swapping him to Melbourne showed he wasn't in his 2020 plans and on return would only be a backup centre at best and I would say unless a swap for Laurie can be arranged Momo will be a WT'S for 2021 and should be head down busting his butt to get to first grade

It's amazing how good a player is rated when he spends some time away from the club.

In 2019, he was called "too slow" as he got run down a couple of times, he missed a sitter that cost us a game, and didn't play well in the game deciding match in the last round.

IMO he's a good 3rd or 4th choice centre but nothing more. Given we have Roberts, BJ, Talau, Kei, Hoffman we're not short on centres. I'd much rather lose Momo than Talau who might get sick of playing reserves.

He was chased down after catching a ponga intercept, IE if he didn't make that play knights probably score. It was pretty late in the game, players get tired, he more than likely had heavy legs. Not a fair representation of speed imo

in that dogs game you talk about he also scored 2 tries and was the reason we were even in it.

And in that last game he was chucked into the fullback role last minute as Thompson pulled up lame an hour before the game

As I said, I think he's a good back up, but when he was here, he was treated the same way Brooks was last year.

At some point we are going to benefit from these guys getting it , late in thier career . Like Damien Cook, Cody Walker , Matt King etc. guys who floated around and never lived up to the potential until much later in thier career .
And the reason I say this , is because we as a club have the systems and support in place to help these guys . I wouldn’t have said this a year ago , but I’ve come to realise especially , with young black men , is they need to see black faces to feel at home . It is a different mindset to many of us . It’s with this in mind , that I feel confident that we can get the most out of these guys .
And if we don’t there’s Tommy and AJ awaiting in the wings , and Kei on the horizon . All are better than momo .

BJ was crap because he was unfit. That’s as simple as it is .

Jimmy and Joey are both specialists in elevating their performance when (and only when)absolutely necessary...like contract renewal time for example...and then deliver absolutely nothing to back it up.Bennett and Stuart...both reasonably astute judges...let them go for a reason.
Joey was undisciplined rubbish last year on the field where it counts, and Jimmy ..Ill leave that one alone
If u wanna hang on to their respective highlites reels from 2015 go rite ahead, but if either perform consistently for WTs this year Ill be pleasantly surpised..actually Ill be absolutely gobsmacked!!They just dont deliver.
And neither makes us ...how shall I say this...a "smarter" football team, which Momo does. Were so desperate for smarts and leadership we bought a 31yo prop from Penrith well past his best by date, because we need him
The only reason why the coach wld feel the need to call this one so early and ignore Momos compromises is because Momo doesnt fit into into coaches plans...
says it all

Maybe a lot of these guys , who are apart of years of losing , might. Or be as good as you guys like to think ?

Well well well .... so much for the coach saying or stating that Paul was still apart of his ideas come season 2021. I really think this absolutely stinks when you think of the 2 that are probably going to line up in the 3 and 4 in rd 1. And I wonder why I still follow this rabble.
My first question is : Who’s kicking for goal in rd 1?????????????
