Moors hoping for new deal

I'd give him another 2 years with view to extension.
Good impact bench player + good depth.

14\. Moors
15\. Pettybourne
16\. Murdoch-Masila
17\. Blair / Thompson / Bell / Fotuiaki

… Strong.

Don't like players stepping up when a contract is required… there has been no reason Moors couldn't have had the same impact weeks ago .Sorry wouldn't offer a contract a bit late to show your wares and next season back to average no thanks.

Sign him up. We need the depth, plain and simple. And when he plays like he did last night, he's damn good value. At 26 it's not beyond Junior to improve his game further also, as some forwards do mature later in their careers.

If Junior can repeat last night week in week out he is a must signing

Glad you shoved my words back down my throat big guy

I thought they all stepped up because of the opposition to be honest, which is still pretty annoying.

Thats exactly the issue.
Someone other than just Sheens(whose judgement is not necessarily objective on these issues)needs to assess whether this is simply a couple of "one-offs"to solicit a new contract,or whether his head is in the rite space to deliver sustained performances at this level.
If the latter ,at an alleged 113kgs (which is holding a couple of housebricks imo!)is excatly what we need.
If were going to get more of the same mediocrity that hes demonstrated during most of his tenure with us,he can do it somewhere else
Dont have a lot of time for "coasters" who go thru the motions most of the time, plus weve got a few too many already!

I'm tied of the just an NRL player I want winners ,guys that give you it every week ,guys you go and pay to see don't have to be the world beaters but rip and tear every week …not the johnny once a monthers time to change the mindset at Concord!

just maybe if sheens had given him a proper go we would have seen this form most weeks. very hard to make a difference when you are given five minutes to show your wares.Other playes stumble through games week in and week out but Sheens picks them every week. If this club is serious about being a force, get a new coach before worrying about players

Agree mate it is very annoying. And I hate hearing Sheens say ' the effort was there tonight'. Why the hell should the effort not be there every game?

Also agree with your comment supercoach; its been very frustrating waiting for Moors to get enough game time to show his wares.

Geez there's alot of moors haters here. Don't know how he can prove himself with 30 mins of FG a month. Quite frankly in the time he has played this year, he has shown up a few ppl. Including sheens.
Earlier this year having watched a couple of BRE games, I praised junior and Tim simona only to be abused by so called WT supporters here who probably have never seen a BRE game in their life.
Needs more game time, changed the game when he came on with his offloads.
Must sign for next year, would be a cheap signing.

Plenty of guys put in when playing lower grades, and when they do the step up, they just aren't in that class.

It's not a matter of hating someone. Moors has shown brief or rare glimpses of something, but does not back it up.

As for limited time, of course it's hard to show what you can do. But the top players can show something special in the 5 minutes they are on. BMM is no better example. He is a kid and when he comes on, he make the occasional break or has a good hit and spin almost every game. Moors has more than a few years on BMM, plenty more opportunities, and at more clubs, and still hasn't set the world on fire.

Of course he will turn up occasionally and have few good hit ups, but he needs to do it every week, and he just hasn't in my opinion.

I'd keep him, on very low money. But then you run the risk of him losing interest because he can't cut it. That's when it becomes a waste of money.

X2
Are we willing to roll the dice for this guy? With the amount of signings for next year + young guys getting a run from NYC I can't see a place for him unfortunately.
If we had seen a little more of him this year could be a different story

This is the problem not only with Moors,Sheens gives them no chance to show their wares, and no confidence or job security,Miller,Chisolm and Humble are other examples this year, the problem is the coach not the players,so lets sack the the bloke and move forward. 😛ray:

So do we have enough depth in props or not? :deadhorse:

For mine, Bell and Moors shall be offered 2 yrs contract, Bell is arguably (with Utai) the best 'value for money' player we ever signed. Moors is consistently one of the best players @ BRET, against Dogs he has shown that he is solid 20-30 minutes player, unfortunately this was the first serious chance he had the whole year, as he played max 5 minutes in the previous games. :frowning:

Go Tigers

We have all seen the extremes of what happens with promoting NYC forwards this season.

If we are going to base our hopes on only promoting NYC props the club has truly lost the plot

Moors was given decent minutes as was able to show what he can do. Had a blinder

At 26 years old he is coming into the prime of his career as a prop.

To think Blair gets picked ahead of Moors and Bell every week is nothing short of disgraceful.

I would definately sign him up for 2 years, promote Bell to the starting line up and tell Blair to meet the State Cup coach.
