January 1997 A beer-soaked Taylor is seen live on national television being escorted from the SCG for unruly behaviour during a cricket ODI. Taylor and several North Sydney teammates had been backing up from a buck's party the previous night and it is alleged some players urinated in cups and threw the contents over patrons during a Mexican wave. Taylor is axed as an Australia Day ambassador by Central Coast organisers.
Here is an article, not Rothfield from may 2015, interesting.

Dragging up things he did 20 yrs ago, you must be desperate. Why don't you get dirt from his primary school teachers while you're at it.

He wanted facts I gave him facts, you my friend are far more childish and petty than you try make me out to be, they are FACTS FACTS FACTS get it through your head.
It might have started in the early 1990's at wests, continued on at norths where he was instrumental in getting his coach on the outer with the board, but his troubles have continued all throughout his career, he hasn't changed to much at all.
What he done as a player at wests and norths to Ryan and Louis is exactly what Farah is doing to him now, it is hypocrytical of him to try and punt Farah for doing something he done his whole career.
Whilst I think Farah should go now, Taylor should follow him out the door.

And it get through your head, JT isn't going anywhere. So either except that or go support someone else. I'm not usually one to tell people to go support someone else, but the crying and moaning is out of control. Why put yourself through this?

Like I said, If Taylor doesn't get results he will ride the lightning - And it will be the end of his career…
Players don't get results and they're untouchable..... At our club they are anyway!!

Not saying you should support the decision, but you at least have to admire the guys guts. The easy option would be to have done nothing at all, but moving Farah on and having half the supporter base despise him for it has forced him to put his tenure on the line, and most probably his whole career. Its a decision that will define him, if nothing else you at least have to admire the bravery in this decision.

I have supported Wests/WestsTigers for 44 years, I don't change teams, to even suggest that to someone say's a lot to me.

Well its making you extremely unhappy. At the very least take a break and catch your breath and come back in February. Spewing so much hate and bitterness on here day after day does nothing. JT will still do what he's going to do, regardless of how much you and all his other baggers carry on.

I agree with you - It can't be JT's ego….
Either that, Or he's a gazillionaire??? And doesn't need to work ever again....

I just can't see JT waging his whole livelihood on this - Unless there is a real, real problem.
I was interested to see Benji on 360 a while back, Trying to say as much as he could without really saying anything... He didn't support Farah, But he didn't not support Farah. He didn't say he's got attitude problems, But didn't really say he hasn't. More danced around it....

Like I say, Wests Tigers have taken all of the reaction on the chin... Mostly Taylor - And not got down and dirty.
Farah is throwing everything at the club to bring them down (Through other mouthpieces obviously)

I just can't think JT can waltz in here, punt a club legend just coz...
He's got a young Family, He's trying to make a name for himself and set up a career for the next 20 years.
If there was no real issue - He would just nod his head and keep the peace...
It has to be deeper than anyone here would have a clue about.

The whispers floating around that Robbie isn't as popular with certain members (And ex members) of the squad as much as we have had it jammed down our throats of late.... I'm sure he is tight with Teddy, Brooks, Moses and the Like.... But that's just a few of our starting players.

Still too many Manly, Souths, Bulldogs and Rooster blow-in fans on this forum for my liking.

Sort of proves?
LOL

Melbourne players always say how they "Know their role"…its a simple process that works, especially in a team environment.
When you have one bloke suddenly decides hes a hooker, lock, back row and 1st reciever...well its like someone on the road driving to their own rules...no one else knows what the hells going on.

You are being loose with the truth. All Farah did last year was shovel the ball and make 40 tackles a game last year directly under taylor's instruction. Even Potter called out Taylor on this and stated taylor was misusing Farah. His season was poor as a result. He is the NSW hooker and one of NSW best the last 3 years. Its easy to kick a man when he is down injured and smashed by the media.

Its just straight up poor coaching why is this going missing. Big Bad Robbie is the cause of our problems give me a break. The squad hates taylor and its out of hand, he has lost the locker room.

Replying to BBF. I didnt say this was how he was this year, yeh he took a back seat. But dont tell me you havent seen him take on too much in the past…because youd be loose with the truth.

Agree he has been guilty in the past where he probably didn't need to and cost us games. Last year he needed to take more control and didn't. As it stands if Farah Walks and Taylor is replaced we will be better off. We need to move on from this mexican standoff.

I cannot believe the hate. This forum is becoming a sewer.

I don't know what a moderator does, but he or she should really be taking some strong action about this hate crap.

We get it, some people do not like the coach. But to keep on repeating the same old same old every day is just mind boggling. Give it a rest for everyone's sake.

Can't blame the MOD's Col , people have the right to their own opinion

Couple of bad seasons and they are all wanting to sack everyone.

Bloody hell , us Maggies supporters had a couple of bad decades to sift through and more coaches than wins

Col I don't know if this means a lot , but I like this Col :sign:

Now if only we can post a picture of ourselves giving each other a big hug on twitter

PS Love to get the average age of the haters ….......

I remember attending one Maggie game at end of poor season, I think about 500 attendance. At least the Lidcombe Oval was near the swimming pool that opened till late in those days so was some enjoyment. I could not believe when they coming good in 2005 - I sort of refused to believe so that I would not get let down.

If the arguments were based on solid facts people wouldn't mind Milky

The facts are this

The club has had many issues for many years and we managed to throw some paint and some Rexona on it for a while so things looked good and smelt great

Problem is once the façade faded the problems fell on the people who followed not the actual people who created them

Milky put us man for man up against every other club and where do we rate , bottom 4

We haven't signed a Marquee player since Blair from an NRL team and we paid him way overs to get him

Why ??

This has been going on for years

The current board are doing there best to fix this , making huge calls that have shaken this club to its absolute core and have placed their own reputations at risk to do so

Smart businesspeople like this don't put themselves through this sort of crap if they don't NEED to

We NEEDED these changes for the future and things could still take two or three years to fix

But as some of us older heads are saying is be patient and hopefully we can reaps the rewards in the future

You think things are bad Milky go back and look at the results for the Wests Magpies in the 80's , at least the Balmain boys had a few years in the sun in the late 80's

I'm as annoyed as the next bloke , but if you want to blame people , blame the imbeciles that back ended contracts like they did Farah's ,Keefy's ,Rowdy's, Blair's etc and almost sent us to oblivion

No - just no. This to me is all just pessimistic palava.

To be fair to you the facts are pretty hard to get right but they consist of our results and our results only.

I for one think that this is a great club and that there is nothing wrong with it. We have some great young talent and hopefully we can have a good season within the next couple of years.

There is a difference between voicing an opinion and continuing to slander someone, based on that opinion.

How many times do you have to "voice your opinion"?

It will not make the club take action and it tends to weaken your arguments in regard to Taylor and the club.

How about concentrating on the new players that have come to the club looking for an opportunity to succeed.

How about getting some accurate information on what the club is trying to achieve after the debacle that has been going on for a decade.

How about facing the fact, like it or not, that there is a parting of the ways between the club and Farah. Accept it and move on.

Thanks for clearing that up for me….

You've noted everything except why no other club wants the current NSW Origin on their books for free.... FREE!!
?????

I have also followed this club for a time, Probably not as long as you - But a time no less...
I have seen many a club legend come... And go - For one reason or another!!
I've not seen one of them carry themselves over the situation like this.

I'm not a supporter of the coach, I support the club and the players.
IN THAT ORDER!!
- My club decides my coach... I can live with that.

We have been abysmal for years... We've had 3.5/16 acceptable seasons (2009 we were a little unlucky). If nothing changes, We will be abysmal until the end of my days.
We are the only club in the NRL where the players seem to run the club.
We have complained about our walk up starters "In The Club" for years, despite form - That's now changing.

All this may be the wrong road, In 2 years we'll know...
All I know is the old way wasn't working - In Life, No Matter what you are doing if it's not working you need to try something new, You need to make changes, With change comes sacrifice.
At worst we'll be exactly where we have been for more than 80% of our existence....
Ending the season in August....

I will certainly find it easier supporting a losing team that is actually trying to change and trying to turn it around. Rather than one who runs out the same players in the same positions year after year with not a care in the world and no pressure on their position.

And for the record, I've personally achieved quite a few things in my years of note that have been recognised in more than one field. And I'm not done yet....
Who knows, Maybe this old keyboard here will make me a superstar!!

Furthermore, I've been in my Industries a lot longer than Robbie Farah has and I've NEVER been asked to look elsewhere.....

Batboy , they will Not get him for free, or even close to that
We will still be playing a big bit of his contract, yes
But as a NSW player. A club woud be unable to register him if they were getting him at too low a price.
I'm not sure exactly what the Cap rules are on that, but it's already been mentioned in the press at least a couple of times.
If anyone goes know the rules regarding that , they may be able to enlighten us all on that.

two points i would like to pull u up on col.
the players that have come to the club do nothing to excite me for 2016, if my local A-GRADE had signed them i might have got excited. so dont bag people for been unhappy.
u say get some accurate information, that is like trying to extract teeth from this mob. i get little bits and peices from with the club now and then and it is way off from what the club tells us supporters. so again how can u bagg people when u can only go on what u thinks going on and the crap that is played out in papers and tv.
maybe time to get of the high horse ur riding before u fall.

Dragging up things he did 20 yrs ago, you must be desperate. Why don't you get dirt from his primary school teachers while you're at it.

Don't be such a hypocrite GNR, you'd use anything to discredit Farah any time possible, so don't squeal when someone does the same to this fool that we've made head coach .
If you can't take it, then don't give it.

Nearly 3 months and you're still insulting him (fool). Think of all that wasted energy you could have used for something more constructive. This whole thing must be eating you way down to the bone marrow to still have the energy for all this hate.

The club will not pay a large chunk of his salary, They will pay most of it.
- and seem quite happy to do so....
A club could sign him on a second tier contract and we'd be still paying him close to full amount.
