Mbye just needs to be told that he won't be playing first grade next season,at all, just like the Panthers did with Mansour. This will significantly drop his value for 2022 and damage his chances of getting another contract. He will find another club, he will adjust his value and he will be gone by next season, just like Mansour.

Still can't for the life of me understand why we didn't agree to swap Talau for Fox or even Nofo for Fox.

Far out what? Not much the club could do if Talau didn’t want to go. And at the end of the day, JAC didn’t want to come here anyway, so what can you do?

At one point Melb were willing to release him to the Tigers and he was all for it till Tigers weren't willing to send Talau or Nofo the other way.

That was what the media reported,to the best of my knowledge that was not confirmed by either club or any of the players concerned.So afaiac it is baseless

Talau and/or Nofo would have to agree to that change - it is not just up to the club - again the players will need to agree to it as well

100% agree and never said that they wouldn't just mentioned if the opportunity came up to continue your career at such a successful club like Melb it seems odd that neither would have taken it.

All the reports at the time were all lending one to believe the option was straight up shut down as the club wasn't willing to lose either for Fox.

For me as much as we want Mbye moved on due to his 800k salary next year I don't see the point if we have to pay more than 400k.. We can still use others and have him there a back up as he covers a lot of positions. if Dragons want him they need to pay at least half or no deal.. or unless we have a big signing coming in and need the 400k :laughing: :laughing: :laughing: Needed a laugh - Us getting a big name

Its not about the money any more with Mbye. I think he should be moved on at whatever the cost.

Of course it's about the money, you may be talking about a lot of it and then, you need to replace him? I don't think he will be resigned, but atm, he is a perfect 14 for us?

Injuries happen, you need someone to fill in when they do.

You are correct you need someone to fill in for injuries, HIA, etc.

However you need someone to come on and TRY, or you may as well use the corner post (not sure if that counts as an interchange), however it would be better than Mbye and wouldn't cost more than 75 cents per game.
