People can talk about Madge all they like , but when you have Mbye on $950k, Reynolds on $800k , packer on $700k and McQueen on $400k, plus the salary cap penalty of $300k. That’s over $3million dollars of your cap and not getting much in return.

Matulino was on big money last year too. Did well to free that up with a sneaky medical retirement

The retirement no one thought we’d get approved cos apparently the NRL hates us.

People still complained about it too. I reckon we got a bit lucky getting him off the books.

Madge tried the same with Russell too ? he probably beat up the surgeon who fiches his foot

And was spotted playing 9s in NZ not too long after the medical retirement :zipper_mouth_face:

Maybe we should send him to Penrith and make Ivan pay 70/30 he owes us the SOB

That’s okay Inglis is looking at a comeback after his Medical retirement.

“Moses is a Queensland boy so he would definitely consider coming home to play for the Titans,” Mammino said.

“We’ve had no approach from the Titans, but if the Tigers have a salary-cap issue and want to move Moses on, he will be professional and explore all options, which would include the Gold Coast.

“Moses has been battling injury but he is still busting his gut for the Tigers,” Mammino said. “He made 56 tackles last week against the Knights moving back into hooker from the outside backs. Not many players in the game have his versatility.

“He leads the competition for try assists for any outside backs this year so he has a lot to offer.

“Moses is very loyal and doesn’t want to leave the Tigers, but he understands the professional nature of the game and if he had to move on, he will explore his options.”

“At the moment, he is under contract to the Tigers for two more years. He is very happy captaining the club and has no intention of leaving, so this certainly isn’t being driven by Moses, myself or the Titans.

“Going to the Titans is a hypothetical scenario at this stage ... his preference is to honour his contract.”

Really? Is that across the whole comp? Even if it was just at the Tigers I'd be surprised. Moses MBye? Mitchell Moses, perhaps.

MBye leading the comp on try assist for any player who's last name starts with 'MB' ... perhaps.

Mammino is obviously his manager because in no way would anybody else claim that he leads the NRL for "try assists" for an outside back.Absolutely bewildering

I can't believe he's only 26? Seems to have already given up on life.. In any case doesn't look passionate about playing NRL.

It’s true. He’s got 6 try assists, equal more than any other winger or centre in the competition. He’s got a really good passing game and has set up some nice tries for us this year.

Considering he’s more a half/fullback than a centre it’s not too surprising for me

His passing game has always been his best attribute, it’s actually really good. He’s got a good cut out pass
