Moses Mbye Super Duper Thread

Mbye just needs to be told that he won't be playing first grade next season,at all, just like the Panthers did with Mansour. This will significantly drop his value for 2022 and damage his chances of getting another contract. He will find another club, he will adjust his value and he will be gone by next season, just like Mansour.

He is contracted to us for next year and for a heap of cash & has been told by us we don’t want him. The issue is how much he is meant to earn and how much someone is willing to pay or what we might get in return.

His market value right now is 300k, we need him to set the world on fire to drive his value up next few weeks.

it is,what I suggested the club did with Talau last year in order to get JAC, if he knew he was not playing first grade for WT he may well have headed to Melbourne

at the time some fans on here are like you can't do that to Tommy or a player telling them they won't see first grade all year. Why not Penrith did it with mansour.
You wait in three years time Nofo will be our Mansour problem

When you sit back and look at it Madge has exited Matulino, Packer, Reynolds, Mbye, McQueen.
Brought in Laurie, Stefano, Blore, Douihei, Maumalo, Luciano, Simpkins, Simpkin, Utoikamanu. In the scheme of things two big losses were Aloai, Matterson. Bad recruitment Tamou, BJ, Jet.

We are better roster wise but the gap with the good teams is huge for many clubs. We need some reinforcements.

I just want him gone whatever it takes. Would not pick him again this season and let someone else have a go. Packer and Mbye really stuffed us up big time. Thanks Mr Cleary.

What’s it matter, We’ve done nothing with Packer’s money for next year, so don’t hold your breath with Mbye’s.

Still can't for the life of me understand why we didn't agree to swap Talau for Fox or even Nofo for Fox.

Agree.

300-400k on our salary cap and a spare roster spot would be very useful.

This time last year Fonua-Blake became available, we found Doueihi and Laurie in the off season and I'm sure end of season there will be quality that becomes available.

Maybe we agreed but the players themselves didn't want too..

Very possible though hard to imagine either turning down an opportunity to play for Melbourne. Not many have ever done that, if any.

Far out what? Not much the club could do if Talau didn’t want to go. And at the end of the day, JAC didn’t want to come here anyway, so what can you do?

At one point Melb were willing to release him to the Tigers and he was all for it till Tigers weren't willing to send Talau or Nofo the other way.

Talau and/or Nofo would have to agree to that change - it is not just up to the club - again the players will need to agree to it as well

Ship had sailed by that point as the Dogs came through later on with an offer the Tigers weren't willing to match or better.
