MOYLAN MAYBE RELEASED ..

I think it was confirmed this morning, Moylan to Sharks and Maloney to Panthers. Panthers looking pretty good!

Not wrong. A Maloney and Cleary halves combination would be huge. An astute move by the Panthers if true.

Maloney is good, but he doesn't stay at any one club that long. He goes looking for the dollars, he won't hang around too long. Two years max. If true him to Panthers, it will be good for this year, but not for their building of their squad long term.

Maybe I'm just disappointed though, I was hoping we'd snag Moylan.

Not sure how Penrith have the money to bump him up, and I'm not sure if Cronulla have the money to bring Moylan on, especially if he's on more $$$ than Maloney which is the reason why Maloney wanted out in the first place…

Complete and utter douchebag that I'm glad we avoided. Will fit right in at the Sharks.

I assume by that statement you know him personally?

Nope.

Right…

You're effectively implying that I have no right to that opinion cos I don't know him personally.

Right.

So basically you are saying no one has a right to say those sorts of things about players because they don't know them personally. I look forward to you policing that from this point on. You're going to busy.

You don't think Reynolds is a douchebag even though he was apparently abusing a fan before getting escorted out of The Star a month or so ago (which was a week after he was thrown out of Northies). You also have no problem with Packer even though he spent a year in prison. My problem isn't having an opinion, it's just that you're incredibly inconsistent with your opinions. Even if Moylan is a doucebag, he wouldn't be alone in our team. He'd also be our best player by miles. Teams that are much stronger than us are looking to upgrade in areas where they are already stronger than us, yet people on this forum don't want those players. They're content with an unproven hooker and fullback, a 5/8 that's been out of form for more than 12 months and a halfback that's never really been in form.

And further to your comment previously, I agree with you, Moylan will fit in great with the Sharks. They are a strong team that in recent years have been on a different level to us. And looking at the rosters, unless Cleary is the greatest coach in history, they'll give us a towelling next year too. They're getting stronger while we're lagging behind. And it seems you're totally fine with that.

Reynolds said something to some joe blow at a night club, big deal.

As for Packer, I've never condoned what he did, but he's since turned his life around by having a family and is a University graduate. Many don't reform the way he did, so I do congratulate him for that. Currently, Moylan is a douchebag, and there is no indication that he's doing anything to try and not be one.

He may well be a doucebag, I don't know and neither do you. What is certain is he'd be the best player in our team by a long way.

So would Cam Smith, so would JT. But none of them will ever play for us either so tis irelevant.

Knock it off guys.

Being reported on Twitter that the Panthers have lodged a 3 year contract for Maloney to the NRL. Really shrewd signing by Gus imo. The guy has had success everywhere he has gone, and he could be just what they need to go that extra step. It's been clear for at least a year that Moylan doesn't fit in there. Maloney's signing makes Penrith instant contenders next year imo. Arguably the best halves pair in the comp.
