My 2c on our current position...

I have read with interest people's thoughts on why we've been falling down after a great start to the year. I agree that the continued selection of Braith (and others) creates head scratching moments but, to me, it's fairly simple…

When we started the year, we had a very strong squad to pick from. I don't think any of us foresaw just how good Gavet and Kapow would be for us.

It's no mystery that our recent losses have come when the injuries have hit and when we lost Robbie and Woodsy to Origin.

Over the next few weeks, Origin will be over and Gavet will return. Our squad will start to resemble the successful team that racked up wins against Souths and Manly.

All will be OK.

A simple take on our current form, I know, but I've always been a "glass half full" kind of guy

I agree.

This was always going to be. Building year for the Tigers. A lot of young blood coming through and trying to settle in first grade. If we make the 8 this year I would be over the moon. Just miss out, and I think I would be just as happy. I just wanted to be competitive this year, and we have shown that.

Let the building continue. And see what happens. You would want to live in a half finished house or cross a half finish bridge. All I as is people just wait.

My 2c

As I said in another thread we can't bring all the young guns through at the same time , change is gradual and it is good

We are in the 8 at the mid point of the season and we still have a chance to make a run at the semi finals

As much as it would be great to make the Top 4-6 I think Top 8 would still be an fantastic effort ,especially seeing most on the Forum had us down for 9-14th spot on the ladder

Keep up the good work and stick to your guns Mick

Rome wasn't built in a day

Great optimism.

People always look for someone to blame when thinks aren't going as well as you hope.

If we had 3 more wins and were top of the comp, there would be nowhere near as much hate towards some players as there currently is.

In the past 2 seasons potter has given opportunities to:

Ava
Sue
Buchanan
Taupau
Gavet
Brooks
Simona ( he was on the outer with sheens)
Nofa
Austin
Sitalekki
\
\
All with very small or no NRL experience. All have exceeded expectations.

He has no problem blooding players when needed. He obviously has a plan for the club and when he believes the time is right, I am sure he will blood any more he may need to.

Interesting that people aren't happy with where WT are currently at Round 15 since 09…

2009 - 12pts in 13th position
2010 - 20pts in 3rd position
2011 - 16pts in 6th position
2012 - 18pts in 7th position
2013 - 12pts in 15th position

and this year 16pts in 8th position - So all up WT have a great chance of making finals, considering previous years. Looking 2013 gives an accurate indication of how far the team has come.
