If Nathan doesn't come to the Tigers I hope he stays at the Panthers I am sure he will have a fair few offers.

The interesting part about the rumours that Ivan and Nathan Cleary will join forces at the Broncos next year, or even in 2020, is that Ivan’s deal with Wests Tigers runs until the end of 2020 and Nathan is off contact at the end of 2019\. They would need to join Brisbane at different times, which would be unusual.
Ivan has just built a house on the northern beaches and he’s rebuilding a team at Wests Tigers.
Favourites of Ivan, such as Russell Packer, Ben Matulino and Elijah Taylor, are the core of his team. Ivan’s buddy Justin Pascoe runs the club.
Ivan’s wife, Rebecca, dreams of Nathan and Ivan reuniting but, knowing the quality of the family, they will be rejoicing over Nathan’s ice-cool performances during NSW’s successful Origin campaign, and for the Panthers.
Nathan’s future will be sorted in the coming weeks

Next few weeks obviously isn’t after November…

It’s a scary thought tha those three are the core of our team
@ said:lets be real, no need signing young cleary, if we dont have some decent forwards to look after him, so unless Ivan gets his finger out and signs us 3-4 forwards for next year bring him here would be useless.

What you seem to be missing though is how good Brooks looked in his debut, and how it drew comparisons to Andrew Johns. Now, did he live up to those expectations? Obviously not. But so far, Luai is no better than Brooks was in that game at the SCG. And as he proved, it can easily go south. So given the player you are mocking is a prime example of that, I’d wait a season before throwing Luai in his face.
Good lord … cry me a river :bawling
Mate, you were caught out not having thought that snide dig all the way through. Move on.
Let’s see how the cookie crumbles with this Penrith kid….
I bet you my house he’ll be better than brooks after 99 games ..
Most decent clubs would have MOVED on brooks after 50 games ..,!

I like it.
Don’t sign any quality halves or backs until we sign a handful of top forwards.

Bingo, we over rate our juniors, and just keep telling ourselves they will come good, even if it has been 5 years and 100 games, we are still prepared to wait, no wonder we are never in the finals :brick:
@ said:Ivan won't see out his 3 years , too many doomsayers already want him gone asap
Always the coach , rarely the players are blamed , yet Ivan hasn't dropped a pass , missed a tackle ,or got so far from the game plan it isn't funny yet
Players aren't playing remotely as well as they were 6 weeks ago
No desperation , the only sign of team is the teeming of points in recent weeks

I think everyone would agree that we need 2-3 better forwards for 2019

I sincerely hope you are wrong Cleary has been the best coach we have had since the early Sheens years. He is what we need and was given till 2020 to get it right.
It is only my opinion but i feel he has improved the club since he has been here and will continue doing so.
@ said:3 good forwards with what we already have and Brooks will be looking a hell of a lot better - as he was during the first 6 weeks when the pack was performing OK.
@ said:@ said:It’s a beat up in a long running News Ltd media campaign against Phil Gould. Ivan is contracted until 2020 with a young family in the Northern Beaches.
Penrith can offer the same money to both parties. They don’t need to Nathan will stay at Penrith and Ivan will get a contract extension with the Tigers if he is good enough. Tigers are not short on cash.
The only threat to Nathan and Penrith is the Tigers but I can’t imagine a father talking his son out of staying with a side that will challenge for premierships for the next 5 years to join WT.
But aren't we going to challenging for the premiership in the next 5 years as well?
