Nathan Cleary

If we're going to spend a million on a half, I'd go hard for Munster.

Nathan is good, but Munster is ahead of him and more what we're after.

As others have said though, until we have a forward pack who regularly get on the front foot our halves will still have trouble playing their best game.

I like Munsters playing style and think he would compliment Brooks in the halves. My only concern is I remember Bellamy wanted him out of the Kangaroos training squad and back into the storm system due to issues he was having off the field. Could this be a risk for a personality like his to be in our system. I'm sure he will only keep maturing as he gets older.

Munster is bored in Melbourne.
Much like Dugan was bored living in Canberra.
He will be happier once he gets out of boring Melbourne.

We won’t get NCleary, Brooks is a good , but not great halfback, I would be throwing some money at the young kiwi half at Penrith who deputised for NCleary

No he is not worth it. Even when everyone was raving about him I didn't see it anymore than just "good games". He is an origin half because everyone else fell over.

The only reason I would really want him is his a great goalkicker. In terms of general play, Luke has a lot more spark and a much better running game. Unfortunately he doesn't usually get to showcase it because our forwards don't go over the advantage line.

So now there is talk Penrith are shopping Maloney around.

Do you really think they would be doing that if Nathan was a chance of leaving.

Griffin sacked and Maloney moved on all adds up to NC staying at Penrith. Would also expect the old man to follow in two years or less

Reports saying Tyrone Peachey wants to back flip on Titans deal comes at an interesting time with Maloney being shopped around Nathan undecided maybe Gus is rearranging the deck chairs.

Add their other two young halves and they really have a wealth at their disposal.

It also said if he was not going to the GC he could be at another Sydney based club.

Maybe Peachey’s alledged backflip is because Penrith may realise that Nathan Cleary might be going elsewhere and they’ve offered Peachey a promise of being 5/8 and more money.
No, maybe NOT !
I couldn’t picture Gus forcing somebody to breach their contract, could you?
