If the guy busts his gut for a year to the absolute peak of his abilities and gives all he's got and still doesn't crack it because of politics then he has a right to get the s*** and give up. It'd be like being the best person for the promotion and your bosses mates younger brother gets it, that'd s*** you would it not?

Well it would only be his opinion that he didn't crack it because of politics.
Maybe his ego got in the way of his aspirations is no less a speculative scenario.
Regardless of why he left, he left. End of story.

I cannot for the life of me understand some members continued stance on taking the acceptable path of Shines is right & it must be something wrong with the PLAYER and his EGO????????
SPARE ME DAYS- ego- Shines hasn't got a big EGO?????????
WELL how about that??? Shines must be a "SAINT LIKE MOTHER TERESA" According to those forum members who continually support this line of thought- By the way in my opinion these members are far in the minority of members & Weststigers supporters here & out there in the real world.
RESULTS !!! RESULTS!!! ARE ALL THAT COUNTS!!
WE ARE NOT & HAVE NOT FOR FAR TOO LONG!!!!

Is this thread about Neil Begovich or Kevin Rudd?

has anyone heard from the Horse's mouth exactly why he left or is everything written here speculation?.

Speculation, rumour and a good measure of anti-Sheens bias.

Here we go again another Thread where genuine supporters who have had enough of Tom Shiner & his excuses over the years for substandard performance despite having as much talent on paper as the top teams get shouted down by "Mary Magdelines" of this world who defend Shiner to the bitter end with their pathetic excuses!!!! :wtf
Just like Tony "CAULIFLOWER EARS Rabbit & his band of morts who are pre programmed to say "NO" to everything these forum members go on & on & on making excuses why this player left or this player will come good or we have injuries & its not Tom Shiners decision in the end who Weststigers keep or let go????????? :blah
**Give me a beak**- Anyone with any common sense can see through their arguments Year in Year out- the best array of talent yet nothing to show for it in a long time!!!!!
:crazy :deadhorse:
BOTTOM LINE i LIKE MOST "GENUINE SUPPORTERS" WANT RESULTS- NOT EXCUSES- PERIOD!!!!

Someone ought to give you a beak, seeing as you're carrying like an absolute parrot. What the hell did anything you just say have anything to do with the topic? Do you know the circumstances, or are you just another anti-Sheens/WT zealot who will take any and every chance to take a pot shot at the administration?

please no more threads on this guy all due respects to neil an average 20s player at best dime a dozen no loss in the same mold as groat. the guy was average.

He was better than Groat, and Groat is starting in our first grade side. I will wager that you even think he was better than Groat. His skill level aside, the fact that Groat was ever put ahead of him gives him a right to be shitty.

I quite liked Begovich as a player, and I thought he was prob ahead of Groat (tho they were hardly worlds apart), Im sure he was offered a contract of some sorts (cant recall details).
Some one will be able to confirm, but I reckon that he was quoted at the time saying he'd like to concentrate on his building business.
If he runs a semi successful building company he would earn more than half of the contracted players in the NRL, with better job security and long term viability.
Maybe he was realistic and figured at best he was going to be an average first grader and decided on a more stable career.

Comparing guys in NYC only gets you so far. NYC is such a different class than NRL. Obviously Sheens (and others) thought Groat was going to be a better long-term prospect.

Groat was better. He was the one put in first grade last year.

That is good enough for me.

Maybe you should run the club you think you know it all.

Dont come on after a few wins and with a change of opinion.

Lol clown I'm not crying about the team losing. I think you're getting me confused with someone else.
