Never been so proud

I’d rather loose like this than get swamped by eels or roosters....I’m loving what the side is producing...keep the niggle...sure Leilua shouldn’t have done that but I love the grubby nature of the game let it flow. These boys want to win...haven’t seen that in a long time...we make the 8 this year for me even with our horrible draw...we are no the same team pre covid...up Madge

Just got home. I like the fact that we are in the fight and I’m glad we muscle up. All good. But until we stop making unforced errors and play with discipline we’ll always be middle runners. Their first try came from a dropped ball by Garner. Their second came after a stupid play by Reynolds where the smart option would have been to kick deep not throw a speculator across field.
This game was there for us but we didn’t stay composed.

What was the fans like regarding the Reffering tonight

I'm guessing it wasn't u ivan was blowing kisses at..?

A lot of booing. People were getting manic but really our mistakes cost us - not reffing. Geez we got so many 6 again calls in the first half.

As for Ivan- he’s a turd

You are kidding. We were gone from the first 10 minutes when there was no policing of the 10m and were getting smashed (yet again) in the tackle restarts despite the wrestle looking very similar.

The only time the 10m was was policed was when Gee feared the BJ was going to kill someone and again the application of those rules were only applied to us.

I would have loved to have seen Maguire have a massive blow up in the press conference, it was deserved. Would have also loved to have seen him belt Ivan if they crossed paths in the entry.

already happened at the nines

Not sure I understand the negativity. We showed up tonight. A couple of different decisions and we win. Shows we can mix it with the best. Penrith were good and we went right with them.

We are a better team than Souths.

Also we were missing Twal, our best forward.. I like our chances moving forward.

And got to say, Nofa was one of our best tonight. Great in attack, and in defence his side held on really well (with only 2 or 3 misses all night). Nofa's aggro, and niggle, was fantastic to see.

Keep him here for life. He has Wests Tigers in his veins. Towards the end of his career, when he loses his speed and his strength, he'll be inspiring the Reserve Graders with his gutsy never say die attitude, still running forward for Wests Tigers.

I can see what's building (sure many others can too). Grit, Grind and a lil dirty. Give me more of these performances please!

I’d rather we have players with passion and pride that what we have had. Yes he’s out for a while but talau is there.

Called grubs or soft - which one do you want?

Good call, I thought Talau was outstanding tonight, this could be a blessing.

The only trouble is who takes Talau’s wing spot? Sure could use Thompson right now.

cant disagree more Joey is what we have needed for a decade. I dont condone what he did but the passion and aggression mean we arent walk overs anymore.

That type of ill discipline makes our club look like thugs. That is not the image I want for our club. Time for Joey to do a long stint on the sideline until he learns to control his emotions.

Paws I have to disagree, look at the history of our club. I can't remember the number of times I've come on here and people say that they just want the players to look like they care. Our mindset has made us minnows.

I'm not saying Joey's way leads to a premiership in the short term, but I think if you are going to come 9th every year then you have the wrong image as a club. Madge and even LL will be stuck into him and he should have a few weeks to reflect on that.

My thoughts are that twice he would have gone into touch if he was any other centre in our history. When you perennially come 9th you have to cop the downside to buy the change in ability.

I strongly disagree. Stuart got rid of him because his stupidity costs in big games as it did tonight. The effort put in by our team is overshadowed by this buffoon. Our Captain failed the leadership test by not taking him off and moving Garner into the centres. I cannot forgive that poor leadership.

It’s not the captain job to hook players. When that does happen I would expect a bottom 3 ladder position

We've got trainers, captain and coach can communicate.

So you’re critical of Mbye even though he doesn’t have the final say. Haven’t seen the game but it’s rough to blame him. FYI I don’t think he is a great captain but there is isn’t many about

It's called leadership, he should try it sometime. Wasn't the need to protect JL. from himself discussed? He had been booted by Ricky and if we are the club we are striving to be he should be booted Monday. It's all over Channel 9 this morning, exactly what we didn't want. The effort of. our team has been overshadowed by the actions of this buffoon.

Also yes I'm proud. We didn't have the rub of the green at all. It felt like the ref was on our case all the time. How many times did he call us for walking off the mark? Yet Penrith did it and we were penalised.

I agree, and that bearded touch judge bloke, no idea who he is (just another showpony official who has the fate of games in his corrupt hands), I think was responsible for advising the ref on some of those dodgy calls.

And, I remember him reffing us in a match last year where we were on the end of his own biased and bewildering calls.

Who is that guy? In the words of Toovs; "there needs to be an inquiry"!!!
