Lawrence for mine. He is strong, fast and is a great one on one defender. Not too sure how he would handle a peppering of bombs though…

 @ the people who still want Marshall at fullback. Would NEVER work and hopefully will never happen.

Lawrence isn't a fullback anymore.

Therefore, have to stick with Moltzen. Despite his pea-heart, he's still one of our most lethal support players when the forwards are doing their job and going forward.

If not Moltzen, our second best option (safety wise) would be Reddy. That's if we don't move Humble back to fullback again… rather he stays at halfback though.

But I'm on the give Grant a go wagon. Fullback is probably not the right spot for him to debut though. Not like we have much to lose trying...

You know, I am not a big Moltzen fan - but his form was pretty dam good at the back end of last year in the fullback position. He had a howler of a game against the Broncos - but that happens to even the best players in the league.

I don't know why we are crying out for a new fullback - a lot of fans seem to have short term memories.

Moltzens success is heavily reliant on his combination with Marshall - they seem to have a couple of secret plays that they probably discuss in the lounge room watching TV - fullback is a position that allows Molzten to rove around in attack and combine with Marshall occassionally.

I would love to see Beau Ryan as fullback.

In the few games he played at fullback he was averaging around 200 metres a game.

I still remember him running the ball back with speed and agression, a lot more than I have seen for a long time by any Tigers player.

If I'm not mistaken, think even Bret Hodgson said he would have liked to have seen Beau as fullback.

I agree he is lethal in attack esp due to his combo with benji. Unfortunately he's also been lethal in defence lately (for us!!), but with confidence I think his mistakes will phase out.

Only other fb I'd consider would be Ryan at this stage. Hes full of heart & showed in the souths game (while timmy was off) that he can also combine well with benji! Real shame that Teddy is out!!

Beau Ryan at fullback would add another element to our game because imo we need a speedster on the wing to compensate Ayshfords lack of pace and need a fullback who is a real worker who is safe and puts his body on the line fullback really would suit his game.

Brett Hodgson was very wise to recommend his mate….. if only we listened. (or perhaps sheens)

Lets hope Moltzen regains his form from late last year 😛ray:
