No matter which location is picked it will alienate some of our supporter base.

A TRUE supporter wouldn't mind where WT'S played as long as we called it home

after being a season ticket member for 20 odd years I consider myself a true supporter **but would be reconsidering continuing a membership if we choose a home ground I do not want to travel to every second week.**

I agree. It's why i'm against the SFS.

I will attend any ground in Sydney but the SFS and ANZ are last in my preferences of grounds suggested.

Dont blame you. I know your thoughts on ANZ, why are you against SFS?

I would prefer a homeground that caters for the wide spread of our fanbase. I don't think the SFS does that.

No it's in the East and we are from the WEST

I have been known to make that point lol.

What playing out of Perth

So that is the level you are resorting to?

Just as ridiculous as what you have been sprouting about the SFS.

That it is not ideally located to cater for our spread of fans?

The SFS is though

Disagree

Tipping your an old Magpies fan

Nope, Wests Tigers fan.

So you were never a Magpies fan before Wests Tigers?

No I wasn't?

Fair enough...I think the whole Western Sydney thing is a bit misguided. The demographics and participation numbers don't support the "Growth Area" argument.

I will state it very clearly for you, I was not a Wests Magpies fan. Over half my life ago I supported Balmain but I really do no see the relevance to this conversation as I am not a Balmain supporter, I am a Wests Tigers supporter and have been for longer than I was a Balmain fan. I don't base my decisions on a club a supported almost a quarter of a decade ago. I base mine on what I believe is best for the team I support now.

I believe that a team that calls itself Wests and is trying to represent a vast area of Sydney that stretches out past Campbelltown would be mistaken to play all its games at a stadium in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. If the club was still Balmain, then yes I could understand that thinking, but the club is not Balmain no matter how much people wish that it was.

My post mentioning @MAGPIES1963 was a joke between him and I as we have had some pretty heated discussions over his advocating for the Magpies (I am not having a go at you in this post Maggies, just clarifying why I mentioned you).

Thanks for sharing

In its current form Campbelltown doesn't have the corporate facilities to cut it and Leichhardt is dated.

Even in its current configuration, our one home ground should be Homebush.

22 years in and we're still the nomads of the league.

EDIT: And whether people want to hear it, there is a certain snobbery about some corporates who'll travel to Leichhardt and Bank West, but not to Campbelltown.

I'm with you...Homebush makes the most sense geographically (especially because it's close to Concord) and covers the Wests part of the homeground argument
@cochise .

I think it's the only ground that the inner city and Western Sydney types would mostly compromise on.

There's equally strong support and strong opposition to most other grounds, but I think people can live with Homebush (although straight into town for me after the game...nothing doing in Homebush apart from the Locker Room...grim).

I see the blue wiggle at Campbelltown all the time. he has more cash than all the corporates put together.

Can we plz not play at bankwest in 2022
We’re supposed to play 4 more games there next year & we don’t have a good record there
It’s supposed to be a world class stadium but personally it looks ugly & is overrated
Let’s move the 4 games up the road to Homebush we have a better record there otherwise we could lose 8 points if we play at bankwest
The Easter games v parra are good but plz not at bankwest

We moved lest years Easter game to Homebush as we are scared of parra . But they beat us there aswell.

Bankwest is too steep for me even when I’m sober, the colour theme is disgusting & the surface is very slippery ?

Yeah, I sit in the lower bowel at Pawwa

Fixed up the spelling for you

I wonder what the resignation of Gladys Berejiklian means for the suburban home ground policy. Will it hasten the development of those grounds proposed, like Liverpool, or will it kill them off?

The only argument I can see for Campbelltown is to

Stuart Ayres would build everyone a stadium!

Perrottet is the conservative so maybe he bins everything

Stokes is planning minister so assume he is pro construction but probably more along the lines of what is already announced.

The “WestInvest” fund announced last month had $2b of unallocated funds so you’d think a mini Bankwest at Liverpool or Campbelltown would be a chance

I go to Leichardt for the unrivalled atmosphere.
I won’t to go hollow stadiums like Homebush.
I love Leichardt but I can embrace Campbelltown if that’s the direction - we need tribalism so I’m not supporting shared grounds

Never really been a fan of it before, but now think the best move would be redevelop Campbelltown and put roots down there. Presently, nothing about it inspires me to attend matches.
But a new facility would, it makes all the difference to a live viewing experience.
Two home games at Leichardt per season on a Sunday arvo would be ok but everything else ata redeveloped C'town.

Campbelltown would be great if they redeveloped it. Couldn't see it happening with Gladys there, I guess now with Gladys gone we'll have to wait and see. No doubt the State Gov. will be chasing votes, so who knows.

A brand new bespoke stadium at Liverpool would tick so many boxes:

Closer to Concord COE than Campbelltown, Westinvest funds so the gov can feel like it's providing something, one true home ground (can still have 2 special home games at Leichhardt like barra said), easy access. Am I missing something?

Liverpool is Bulldogs territory, it would suck as a home ground. Worse than WankWest.

Only in your mind, but it shouldn't matter as you are a happy for a ground in Roosters territory.

Yeah but SFS is in pretty neutral territory. It’s an entertainment and sporting precinct and you won’t see much Roosters stuff there. Liverpool will be full of Bulldogs crap just like Parramatta is full of Eels crap when you walk down the streets from public transport.
