Found Mike Singletary comments amusing

I could picture Sheens coaching the Tigers that way

I hope the NRL watched the half time show That is one area they could learn a lot from the NFL

Was I the only wishing for a wardrobe malfunction again 😛ray: :righton:

Ravens or 49ers ??

Don't like the 49ers so its Ravens for me

Anyone else care to share ??

Yeh I backed Baltimore, walked into the meal room today - was nearly the end 3rd qtr…..I saw THAT touchdown.....and that was all, lights went off....went back to work at 22-6 and they only hung on to win by 3...phew
Bit of a cok up the power outage....imagine the GF being delayed by 35 mins

Went to the pub at lunch, trying to time it to get there after half time. Missed the kick return try (sorry, touchdown), then sat there for half an hour while they tried to get the power up. Finally got to see the 49ers make their comeback. Will go home and watch the final quarter (knowing the result, of course).

Ravens were too good and very much deserved the title, full credit to 'em for their dogged play all through the playoffs.
Sadly, kissing your own guns ain't good enough Kaepernick, you would be better off learning how to not throw interceptions or take uneccessary timeouts because you don't know what is going on. Better luck next year tool.

Huge embarrassment for the NFL having the blackout, at least the NRL only "unplugged" Billy Idol: which was probably a blessing in disguise anyhow TBH.

Pretty tense, exciting finish but there are more technicalities and hidden laws than a courtroom drama on the TV, I hope that the NRL never gets to that level of technical crap.

proud of the fightback by the niners and kaep.

culliver was a disaster, starting from his anti gay comment on media day.

as much as i like the coaching staff, the play calling in the red zone hurt with 4 trips there only resulting in 6 points.alot of questionable play calls especially when gore doesn't touch the ball on the final set of downs and a fade which is the worst pass for kaep to make.

as for kaep, awesome display in the second half.5 yards short of the greatest comeback in superbowl history.not bad for your 10th start.

as for the refs, you don't call a penalty on culliver on the ravens final possession and then not call the crabtree play.

in the end we beat ourselves.had 100 yards more offense, scored more points on offense but allowed a special teams return along with blown coverage.

next year is the final window for this team to get it done.

Yeah the Culliver call was a weird one. That said I think that evens out from Cullivers waist grab on Smith in the first half. I genuinely believe he doesn't grab him Smith gets the ball and a runaway TD.

Couldn't belive the last set by the Niners. No Gore and no trying to find Davis who was boss all day

But despite those things this Superbowl delivered in terms of drama and excitement and was overall a damn fine game

Yeah the only game I can remember with power outage like that was Broncos Newcastle game (I think it was Lockyer's 300th) and that was brought on by a storm

If Baltimore had lost it would of been a injustice ,they were the better side for longer periods of the game and if there wasn't the blackout they would of won by 30 plus They were in total control of the game and it was always going to help the 49ers and hinder the Ravens

he never grabbed the waist or his jersey.could have got pinned for illegal contact which is only a 5 yard penalty.
funny thing is that the worst non call was the kick return and nothing was said.
miller was held by 2 players and raped for 10 seconds.and when he tries to turn and chase downfield the player is still on his back.

how is it even possible for every field judge to miss that.

I'm just glad that the Steelers are the only team with 6 Superbowls. Once we get number 7 I'll be ok with anyone else winning their 6th. Sorry Bon :sunglasses:

i know mate, didn't want you to win when you were back on 4 superbowls.all of a sudden you had 6.
at least we could hang our hat on never losing a superbowl.
now that's gone.

and free agency has started.

loved the trade the 49ers made to get boldin.
got a high 2nd rounder for alex smith and a conditional pick next year.
time to pick up some bargains in free agency, while others over pay.

love the the way the nfl handles the off season.
the game stays relevant in the off season with the combine then free agency and then the draft and suddenly it is mini camp.

I am pretty pleased with the Eagles first day of FA.

Sopoaga is an interesting pickup but he didn't play a lot of snaps last season. He does open up the prospect of picking up a solid young NT in the draft though after the 4th Round. Phillips and Bradley are good and solid. Chung's signing I will decide by what our next Safety pickup is.

James Casey is the big one though. His versatility provides some size and really is what Kelly likes to coach, he is just a smart player.

All that said I am still on the Niners this coming season as they are buying and trading like they know their window is closing

we play a lot of nickel and more dime than most.
we drop the nose for a defensive backs.
most teams would drop a line backer, but when you have willis and bowman and a stout run game we have had that luxury.

been a good honest toiler and crowd fav and well liked in the locker room.
been the same player during the highs and all those lows.

i wish him luck at philly.i also heard ricky jean was talking to philly.not sure if they wanted both.

when you only pay your qb 1 mil a year you have a huge advantage.seattle is also in the window.wilson can't upgrade for another 2 seasons and if they cut flynn they can add more.

not sure how long they can sustain the way they give away draft picks.

49ers have 14 picks in the draft, they will gain plenty in comp picks next year with the players we are losing who will mostly play alot.meaning 3rd round comp picks for the 49ers.
we can move up and will also trade away picks for next year and keep getting premiums.

the odds of sustainability at the top are high with the job the front office is doing.and yes,our window is this year.kaep will get a big reward and it will cost us starters.
keep doing the job in the draft and the window won't fully shut.plus you attract vets who want superbowls and not so much money and ego, that struggling teams pay overs for.

patriots are the masters of it.

at work we were talking about philly, and we were all intrigued to see how chip goes in the nfl.i hope he goes well and keeps the college coach trend going in the nfl.
adds more to the game than seeing retreads all the time.i'll be watching philly games this year only because of my interest in how chip goes, and i know alot of others will too.

I haven't looked it up but I assume SF have locked up a lot of their O-Line if not all of it?

They will be there or thereabouts for a while yet. NFC West is a scary looking division though. If the Rams pull their crap together they could be anything. Cards are probably the big slide but who knows.

Be interseting to watch how you guys manage your draft picks .

Patriots well they are the dynasty but I don't know about this coming season.

Chip should give us some spark. Make or break year for Jackson. He got good money and he is yet to deliver. Glad the Reid era is over as it gives a new perspective and fresh start. This is where the NFL is so good, cleanouts, reshapes etc.

I am really intrigued by the Browns this year

I am still saying put your money on either the Browns or whoever is drawn to play the Eagles at their season opener to make the SB (the streak lives)

boone the guard is a free agent 2016 on back-up money.will likely be upgraded before 2016.
rt davis 2015
c goodwin 2014
lg iupati 2015
lt staley 2018

our dline is short on depth with soap gone and ricky jean likely gone.
justin smith getting on in age and probably 2 more years.

i expect us to focus on dline in the draft and safety with a couple of vets added in free agency.

since the rams trade with the skins last year i have been saying if they get their draft right they can quickly move up.they have 2 first round picks for the next 2 drafts.

the west has gone from joke to probably the strongest since the lockout if the rams move forward as expected.fisher was a good hire for them to rebuild.

one thing the 49ers are consistent with since baalke became gm is value.they won't over pay and if the value isn't there at their pick in the draft, they trade down and take the premium .

not sure about the browns,i've got no idea how their roster is shaping.
i'll wait until after the draft.
yeah not a good decline for jackson considering the drama.
though i don't like the qb either.

The three QB options do not fill me with any confidence though Foles has the arm if the O-Line holds

Appreciate the insight to the 49'ers though. We so rarely see them in the regular season that I don't watch too much of them bar playoffs
