So far we've let Harrison, Colon, Wallace and Mendenhall go then re-signed Gay and Foote and signed the 2nd string qb from Cincinnati Bruce Gradkowski…...we're going to have a stellar year next year. :unamused:

I reckon Mendenhall will have a good year next year. Doing the best he can besides that O-line at the Cardinals anyway.

Thanks. I heard the other day that Ed Reed will probably be joining Anquan Bolden in leaving the Ravens. Surely Baltimore would not have cut both of these blokes loose?
Seems odd to me that they would leave a Superbowl-champion team by choice. Maybe they had too much cash thrown at them from other franchises to refuse?

baltimore will now live and die by what flacco can produce, since his new contract.baltimore was built on defense because they never had a franchise q/b.now that they have paid flacco franchise money, they are now dependent on offense because they have to shed money on defense.
i'm actually surprised reed didn't get picked up by the saints.
looks like he will be a texan.

baltimore now needs to get the draft right on defense.make use of cheap contracts and rebuild.

plug holes in free agency and build superbowl rosters through the draft.
only 35 days to go.

and a rule change for this year.
running backs can no longer lead with the crown of the helmet in open space.the same with defenders.

and the tuck rule is gone as well.

How the hell is the NFL gonna determine what constitutes "open space"? And I may have mis-read your post but why would a defender want to lead with his helmet if he was in open space? Does it mean as in after a fumble recovery or interception?

The NFL goes a bit far IMO when it comes to implementing rule changes, way too complicated and open to interpretation. They need to simple it down or else all supporters and casual viewers will need to undergo a 3 week training camp themselves just so we can understand the rules!

i think the official term is 3 yards outside the box.
i think it is window dressing for the lawsuits.
that is the reason why it is introduced, and will be officiated for blatant leading with the crown.
the obvious one is when the running back makes it to the second level and nails a defenders chest with the crown of the helmet.

will be interesting.just hope my team doesn't get nailed for it.

if they police it hard,i think fumbles will increase.

It will make it a damn sight easier for the defenders to tackle running backs for sure. I think it is going to massively hold up play if they have to constantly check the video replay to see if they were outside the proposed 3-yard limit allowed. Getting your mates around for a few beers to watch an NFL game will turn into a bloody slumber party!

Thought i'd post this here in case anyone was interested

Looking for any Aussies with a PS3 who love playing Madden. We are developing a small community of Aussies and are looking for other Aussies who are keen to get involved..

Its hard for us to play in other leagues due to the time differences etc so why not play with guys in your own timezone…

We aren't strict on game times but expect a couple of games a week from players to keep the league running.

The Vikings have recruited great although the fruits may not be seen fully this season. It is great to see an Aussie will be lining up for the Vikings (especially one that is not there just to punt) and hopefully the defence will return to the glory days of the black & blue division.
