Am I the only one who hasn't given up on JTJ?

No i think he can still offer something, maybe he picks up a KOE contract or something. Because the way its shaping and the spots we have left if things come off i dont see him jagging a top 30 gig. But if we dont get who we're after he's a good back up option, he didnt get a hell of a lot of quality early ball last year which he needs.

Yep.. Neglecting JTJ hugely!

But JTJ and Cotric pairing would be better.

it's Nofo's 4 year deal that was the issue he will be our Mansour problem like at Penrith in that final year.
Cotric is good player but in other sides he would be just a winger and a damn good winger. As a centre I'm not so sure but he would walk into our backline at centre.
Either way we probably need to roll the dice if we can chip in 450k or so to Dogs

You can’t judge a contract if you don’t even know the amount. Then you need to know the contracts of those around him and how it fits in. So many variables.

You can’t judge a contract if you don’t even know the amount. Then you need to know the contracts of those around him and how it fits in. So many variables.

Sure we can't know for sure, but a person can form an opinion based on the information on hand. The information may not be 100% reliable, or accurate, but that's the same as in every situation.

I think the key here is remembering that whatever we think is just that, an opinion, based on what little we think we know. But not absolute, not right (or wrong).

My opinion is 4 years for Nofa was probably too long, but at the time we were desperate for something so I can understand why WT agreed to four years.

Yes I see Cotric scoring more then 3 tries a Year for us. But hey even if Cotric scores 5, or even 8... Nofo did 13 tries. Nofo gets over the line.

Why on earth would we swap a Winger who scores 13 tries with one that scores 3? Do we want our attack to match our defense?

Mores to the point Big Kenny M is a left wing specialist & is a walk-up to start in 2022. Cotric is also a left-wing specialist. So why would you replace a right wing specialist with a left wing specialist?

This "specialists" positions are mumbo jumbo imo.... if you are a winger you can play wing, no matter which side.

You don't know who said no as that is just speculation.It is probably far more likely Nof said no or our chairman said no as he seems to be in everything regards to Nofo.
It is also quite possible that no offer was ever made by Melbourne,don't believe everything the media tells you

Off course we are happy when he scores a try, (its his job), but just look at the score sheets and do the math, in 2020 for every try he scored he let 1.5 in 2021 he let in 2.1 tries for every one he scored. Unless he looks at addressing his defensive deficiencies, we as a club will always be disadvantaged by having him in the team, it's that simple.

Its the timeframe. He really needs a bit of preasure or something.

Look for those kicking Noffa, keep kicking. He needs a good but kick. Yet just remember:

Noffa needs to defend or get replaced. Just for a guy like Cotric to step in, we see how he plays in Loosing teams like bulldogs and how he plays at Canberra when they had a HUGE pack.

Now who was with Cotric at Canberra that gave him the good ball to score those tries?

Bj Leulia?
(I cant remember).

So if we hire Cotric + whoever he paired in the Centers it would make sense.

Naturally if Cotric is 200k or less, maybe we take the risk. Give Ken and Noffa a bit of competition.
But were talking serious cap money for 3 tries a year. 100% no from me.

We need to fix that gap. Noffa needs to defend pr be dropped.

Yet Cotric, isnt scoring tries at the moment. At the Raiders he was scoring, but who was on his inside and who got him the space to go over the line?

We cant have a Winger who cant score. Melbourne, sure they will have Olam and Munster give him the space to go over the line.

We have Nathan Cayless. Lets put Noffa through a year of hard defensive training. Brooks used to be a turnstyle and he hardened up. If noffa doesnt improve after 6 months, trade him. But trade him up.

We know how poor we have been this year, still Noffa can find the line. Cotric cant in the Bulldogs.

Cotric wasn't the biggest scorer because he played outside Jarrod Croker. Croker is hopeless apart from goalkicking.
