No excuses this weekend

If we get rolled by the worst team in the Comp we deserve to get the spoon . Newcastle are a team of kids not ready for nrl .no two balls on the field or blaming the man in pink . Only a win and a good one at that is a pass mark

I don't think anything we do tomorrow is a pass mark. The only good thing a win would do is get us 2 points. There's absolutely nothing you could take away beating the Knights. Particularly if we have to fight tooth and nail.

I really won't take much pleasure out of us beating Newcastle as they are a very undeveloped NRL side..If the WTs can't beat a top 4 team with a resounding hard fought battle in the forwards and backs then we don't have to glorify ourselves by beating the Knights. …

If we lose tomorrow I'm officially done with them for the year. As in I'll probably find something better to do with my time than watch them…it's getting to that point

The sign of a good side is to play to its best potential against an underated side and not take the opportunity to be lazy and put itself in a position to lose the match as so often happens with Wests Tigers. I don’t feel for Newcastle, I feel for the Wests Tigers fans who have continually supported their team when the team continually dishes up rubbish.

Totally agree. I look forward to this game with a lot of trepidation. If we lose this you can stick a fork in me because I will be done.

I think what should help us is that we are at home. I say this despite losing to them at Campbelltown last year. We actually have the talent and flair to win and win well but it will be nailbiter if the forwards dont muscle up. I agree that a loss or close win would both be horrendous results.

It is a lose/lose situation for us unfortunately even a good win will only paper over the gaping cracks we have. The knights arent even a decent reggies side

If we loose we have hit absolute rock bottom and the coach and plenty of other people should resign on the spot. 2016 has been one hell of a disappointment

we need to win. plain and simple. idc how ugly, how dirty or how controversial we play, i just want a win.

before the raiders game, there was too much "we played good, unfortunately, didnt come up with the points." all the body language and interview articles feel like they dont care about winning at all..

If we have a win this weekend a decent coach will use that as a platform for further improvement next week.

Quite simply, if you have any desire to make the Top 8, then you should beat the teams, who are placed lower than you on the NRL ladder.

Why should this week be any different from last week or next week?

There is always a excuse…every week, but if it was not obvious before, it should be now we are just not good enough and until they go out and secure some hard nosed ultra competitive players players who will do what it takes to win matches than we will continue to win a match a month if we are really lucky

If we are not up for this one we may as well just not participate for the rest of 2016\. JT your future rides on this game loose and your out win and you buy yourself another week.

Win 3 in a row and your safe till round 20.

I think the only difference between the teams is that we have Matt Ballin and Elijah Taylor in the team. Two experienced players hungry for time in first grade. If they weren't playing, I would think the Knights would be favourites.
