No improvement

We still have the same problems we had in 2015(Kev and Noffs defense). Not only that we have brand new problems(poor attack, poor middle defense, mediocre 4's contracts).

I think that was reason enough to punt JT. But the club has handled it so poorly.

The team in general is pretty mediocre at the moment ..I am preferring looking at the individual performances and there are many that are going well ,Nofo for instance his defence is related to his inside man no confidence but his attack is spot on. Suli for his age and experience is going well,Idris surprised today played with a lot of ticker , the 9 has been a surprise and there are others ,yes as a team the improvement has not been great but individually there is something for a good coach to work with!

Nofo isn't the problem. He is covering two liabilities either side of him. They make him look bad.

players I noticed today (in a positive way)

Sue
Teddy (but he wasnt a million dollar player)
Aloiai
Suli (though he has a lot to work out in defence, that's not unusual for our backline)
Idris

But JT had 2 years and these problems and they're are still here! You would think that would be enough time for them to identify and fix these problems.

I'm sorry, I'm just very passionate about the Tiges. I've been positive about them lately, but this loss was very poor. It's getting me frustrated.

I can't work out what has happened from the first game against Souths to this rubbish?

For 75% of the Souths game we looked premiership material. Our attack was slick and our defense was solid. Then the last 25% of that game we looked ordinary and it just kept getting worse.

It's as if they all just sat down and said it was too hard.

The knives came out for JT right after. He was gone 14 days later.

Because at this stage Souths ,Newcastle and the Tigers are very clearly the candidates for 14th ,15th and 16th and by a long ,long way CQ

I can understand the liability on the inside being Kev but on the outside - or is Nofo trying to look after the touchys job as well?

Mate it's simple, we need a player clean out.

Every loss is like a blessing in a strange way, because every loss is further justification to clean the place out. The only downside is we are running the risk of losing Tedesco. We need a turnover of players, the likes of which our club has never seen.

Totally agree get rid of the Prima donnas and get some hard edged players that have passion

We need to really look at all the players and the ones that are putting in keep others drop, sell whatever.
Rebuild time. I've been Balmain / WT supporter my whole life 40 years. This is the worst it's ever been. They aren't putting in,they are fit and it shows in the games.
My son 6 years said to me today. What's the score dad - I said 10 nil
He said - did they score on right side.
6 years old and he can see it

100%
Lovett, Edwards, Ballin, Littlejohn, Kev, Rankin, Grant, Milone. There's a start.

Our right side defence is useless and Saints blatantly targeted this, as should every team. From our goal posts to right sideline we often had 4 defenders (incl Moses and Naigama - if they count) marking their 6 resulting in two soft first half tries. Just prior to half time we had just 3 on 6 and Nofo was lucky to kill the play. Saints' defenders had structure and pointed at their man each PTB, whereas our right side were clueless and chaotic.

We are rudderless and it stems from the last 2 years.
We need a hooker that engages markers and then gets his halves the ball. The problem starts at 9 we have a halfback that can't run the team and kick for field position or repeat sets. Our 7 and 6 can't tackle and our edge defenders Kev, Idris, Nofo, Suli have no idea defensively. Our forwards lack power and fitness and can't defend when transitioning from attack to defence.

A new coach will no doubt help but we need to address the following: 2 new props with grunt Matulino and Evans. Edge forwards McQueen, Bodene Thompson. New centre Whare and Suli to move into centre. A new winger Tupou, David Mead. Liddell has to come in and develop otherwise Nathan Peats should be looked at.

This is assuming we retain the fantastic 4\. I would only retain Woods, Sue, Aloai, ET, Moses, Brooks, Nofa, Suli, Teddy. The rest should be punted and the fantastic 4 excluding Teddy I wouldn't pay anymore than 1.8m for them max.

Throw in the Warriors as well ..just finished watching that game after I got home..Titans had 1 bloke on the bench the entire 2nd half ..Warriors just snuck home…

Improvement will come for us when some ego's get deflated...
