Wests Tigers winger David Nofoaluma spoke to the media ahead of his 50th NRL game, saying the team were desperate to improve on last week's performance.

Of particular focus for Nofoaluma — who has nine tries in nine games at Campbelltown Sports Stadium — was his combination with centre partner Kevin Naiqama after the pair received plenty of traffic down the right edge last Sunday against the Canterbury Bulldogs.

"Kev and I had a good talk and did some video with the coaches," he said.

"Getting that right is something that we're going to be working on this week and we've got make sure that we put that into action on Saturday."

"We're going to come out trying to play our best footy.

"This is our home game at Campbelltown Sports Stadium, so we've got to own that and bring our best footy to play on Saturday against the Newcastle Knights."

Big game for Nofoaluma in front of his home crowd…needs to lift...

Nofo and his two edge mates NRL careers are on the springboard. Time to aim up and get it right or try your luck at ESL or rugby

Poor Nofo. I bet he wishes he had a centre worth a pinch of shit inside him. Must be how Blake Ayshford felt defending outside Todd Carney at the Sharks.

Wow he's only clocking up his 50th game now, feels like he's been around much longer… I hope for our sake he has a blinder.

I feel the opposite. Can't believe he's bringing up 50 games already.

Nofo and Frozone have a lot of catching up to do out on the field. Their defensive effort last week was disgusting and Frozone has really gone off the boil after a promising start to the season. Nofo just needs to put his head down and run as hard as he can in attack and talk to Kev a lot more in defence. A repeat of last week is unacceptable.

You're right. If Nofo continually screams "Don't rush in!" at Kev for 80mins and Kev actually listens, we should be golden.

I still think Noffa is top shelf. Injuries have been cruel to him but hoping he can have a sustained run. I think he is the type of player that can have a rep career.

As for last week's aberration, I still think Kev has to take the large portion of blame. Noffa has to follow if his inside man goes in however he still has much to learn.

Too short and too slow to play on the wing, too poor a defender to play centre.

Has the odd spectacular try in him, but he's cost us far more than he's given us.
I don't believe he's a real first grader in an Ideal world and would rather long term that we let him go.

Same goes for Kev as well for that matter, and Simona is a Decent Winger but definitely not a Centre.

No Wonder we cant win a game.

Now moving on to the halves and Forwards…

Wouldn't be playing his 50th game if t was up to me.

Not with us anyway.

"We're going to come out trying to play our best footy." he said. He should be doing that every week. Cannot read the play to save his life.

Sick of people blaming Kev - it is all Nofo's fault. Kev cannot trust him to stay out and so runs in to try and stop the ball going out and be faced with a 2 or 3 man overlap. Most of Kev's best games were played when Nofa was not in the team if you go back and check.

Rowdy had the same problem with Koro.

Anyway let us hope they both get it together.

I'm actually surprised he is copping a fair bit here at the moment
Shows when you don't win games and make mistakes you will be in the spotlight

Personally I think he is a good player, has a lot of line breaks and tackle evasion skills
He has scored some good tries for us, done some good stuff in games too

I'm not going to get my pitchfork out because we are playing poorly.

Its unfair to single out players.

Because Milone is not the squad the blame is shifting elsewhere

Milone<>Lovett<>Rankin<>Kevvy<>Nofo

No one seems to be safe from the fans fury

Sad affairs really..

Nofo gets a hat trick Saturday and people here will vote him in for PM

To say I'm disappointed with the flak is an understatement but then again everyone is entitled to their opinions

he is always one of the few who put in 110% every single game but for some reason his defence is getting worse. Not sure why that is but I really hope he can sort it out

Re-watched a few bits of the dogs game and Naiqama definitely rushes in on the wrong man pretty often.

Then again maybe if he didn't then Moses would just get carried over the try line.

My favourite was the Morris try when Justin Hunt rushed in and somehow only managed to tackle Kevvy :frowning:
