Test Cricket likely coming to Mackay in 2026.

Mackay proved to be an excellent host for the white-ball matches between Australia and South Africa this month.

Hence, Cricket Australia has earmarked Mackay as one of the venues for the winter Test series between Australia and Bangladesh planned for next year.

Along with Mackay, the other venues in the race to secure the hosting rights are Cairns, Townsville and Darwin.
