Trouble is he doesn’t, hasn’t and never will lead the team around. It’s just not in his nature to be barking orders and taking control. Unfortunately that’s exactly what the team needs right now and Brooks is not that person. He would probably kill it elsewhere where the only responsibility he had was his own game and there was another dominant personality out there to take charge of the team.

Edit: Maybe someone like Brad Fittler who is well respected and connected in the sport. I think a kid sitting down with Freddy is more likely to sign with us than the current conglomerate. He would have links to origin and does lots in the community, he’s a pillar. That’s the kind of change we need. How much does he want?
