Agreed - However as Aus and NZ vice captains Cameron Smith and Adam Blair are guaranteed in the squad of 20.

To be honest the idea of putting our 5/8 and best back rower into this competition is asking for trouble. A great level of intensity and being the first hit out is a recipie for serious injury from where I sit

Yeah i see where your coming from smeg but i don't think the all star team taking it that serious to be honest.
The indiginous team on the other hand will take it very serious,so i expect a bit of a turnstyle defence by the all stars
I think the charity shield v's the rabbits & saints or the challenge cup would be just as intense

Trials are not irrelevant, trials allow the coaches to try new things, players in different possy, new combos…new players get a chance to get with senior players....far from irrelevant
