The NRL have caused it by making the game as fast as humanly possible. It’s making the game more and more dangerous. Then they will turn around and punish players for the predicament they themselves have put them in.

Shocked at how poor the Panthers were. Endless hitups down the middle instead of stretching them out wide with the extra man. Seems they were freaked out by Nathan's injury and lost their heads.

I had to laugh last night when Matty Johns, part owner of the Gold Coast , was crying because Newcastle made the Grand Final. A real WTF moment for a Titans supporter.

It was a bit like how Daine Laurie drove around after Penrith won the comp. yahooing with his Penrith flag, while playing for us

Yeah Roosters should easily win.
I wouldn’t be disappointed no matter who won. Newcastle will be a great fairytale, but Roosters have built this side for a few years and deserve it as well.

Of course there is, because when it happens to certain players the offenders are suspended on the outcome not the offence itself.

The thing that annoys the piss out of me is that all year, the NRL has made a rod for their backs by deeming the player is penalised for the offence not the result, this includes a few instances of injury this season. Now a discretionary call was made to send Crossland off because it happened to Cleary.

In saying this it really does suck for Cleary and I do hope he finds his way back onto the field after that because it was heinous injury.

NRL need to nut up during the off season and decide whether to make a call on whether a hip drop is a send off or not going forward.

I’ve always said it is a send off. It is a very destructive tackle.

His tackle caused a double syndemosis. Martin had to have both his ankle operated on due to it.

Ive been thinking on this a bit today...i think the only way to stop hip drops is for players to go back to the old way of a legs tackle...initial contact around waist or hips and slide down the legs
Yes, they will conceded a quick play the ball
I think.its the only way to prevent it in this situation.
Players grabbing hold of a runner and trying to pull them back, with mome tum once they lose their legs they lose all control and this is when the body lands on the legs.
Regardless of what the ball runner does the onus will always be on a defender to not place the runner in a dangerous position
Its a tough game and accidents happen but thats irrelvant imo...the injurys must be taken into account when.penaltys determined

I mite be the only person who thinks Crossland didn’t land on Cleary , I stop framed on the tv and Iam not sure he did , also they never showed any other angle , or the head on , would love to see those angles , before Iam convinced
