Wasn't pretty viewing.
Defence looks like it has gone backwards since last year. It looks like we're struggling to compete in the ruck, the Warriors got quick clean play the balls for the majority of the game with our defenders looking like they're struggling to hold on to the attacker. The players have all said how Madge has such a huge focus on wrestling, judging by the way we were dominated with and without the ball it doesn't look like they've done any wrestling at all.
In attack we look flat and one dimensional. Brooks looks like the only attacking threat we have and it seems like getting Marsters early ball is the only way for us to get over the line. We hardly created any space for the outside backs. Reynolds tried hard, maybe a little too hard. Mbye was quiet too.
Garner was good, he certainly didn't look out of place in the starting side. Packerlino need to step up as Mikaele and Twal were quite impressive when they came on. Matterson had some good touches out wide and Jennings slotted in okay, but I'm not so sure of his future lying in the centres.
Referees didn't help. I'm not sure what the count was, but I'm sure we lost it heavily.
The score flattered us in the end. I know it's only a trial game, but we have got a long way to go.
