NRL/ISP Trials V NZ Warriors LIVE GAME THREAD*

People already writing us off after 1 trial.
Knights beat Melbourne in a trial last year.
Canterbury beat the panthers too. Perspective

In my opinion:

1) MBye 3 - Nothing wrong but added nothing and very few touches.
2) Nofo 1 - Looked slow in attack, made little runs, was caught off his wing all day.
3) Masters 7 - Decent.
4) Jennings 6 - Couple of decent runs.
5) Thompson 3 - Did nothing. Got dragged back to many times.
6) Marshall 3 - Poor
7) Brooks 7 - Good all round.
8) Packer 4 - More involvement needed
9) Farah 6 - Did some good things, unfortunately that yard of pace hes lost hurts.
10) Matulino 5 - Made some okay runs early.
11) Matterson 7 - Close to our best
12) Garner 6 - He was solid. Won't have any impact on the game though.
13) Eisenhuth 5 - Did some work. No impact in attack or on the game though. As per usual.

14) Twal 8 - Busted the line. Ran well.
15) Mikele 8 - In a team who can't go forward he is gold.
16) Fonau 7 - Has so many deficiencies, but in a team that can't go forward, we need him.
17) McQueen 5 - Meh…as per all our forwards, does some work but no impact.
18) Liddle 4 - Limited time, bit hard to say.
19) Aloai - 3 - I am a fan but what was that

Some good signs Matterson, Brooks, Farah, Marsters, Jennings. I also liked our props Packer, Mats, Mikalele. I just look for physical performance in trials and we look stronger but our effort was non existent. Warriors did play a previous trial so they are ahead on match combinations.

Not necking themselves

Just thought we would offer a lot more first up against a side who is a bottom 4 candidate

Consistency has always been our issue …and we saw what we can unfortunately offer still

Trial or no trial , I didn't see blokes busting themselves fighting for positions that are supposedly on offer

Wow i forgot how bad a jydge of footy so many on here are. The easiest ones are thos who say Packer was rubbish. I can strike them from the football knowledge list.

All good - thought you were just having a go about spelling.

Hope he gets picked in the centres against your fav team.

I thought overall we looked bigger, stronger and fitter.
Very rusty and you’d expect that for a first run especially with new combos and new players.
I also thought we were playing at about 3/4 pace on purpose.
New guys went well and I’ll reserve full judgment for at least 4 rounds in.
Tries we’re scored out wide and not through the middle which is positive early on in my opinion.

Just finished watching our ISP replay ….. and I know the opposition was ISP standard but thought Oliver Clark was the best player on the field.
Not saying to rush him into top 17 but he has been getting some criticism on here .... but he did great.

I lost interest and switched off after 50 mins… Very boring uninspiring footy... Didn't fill me with confidence... Though footy is a funny game

We are awful.
Nofo can’t stay on his wing, ISP for him.
Both Benji and Reynolds were rubbish
Attack clueless
Defence on edges rubbish
Mbye was quiet

Played well
Garner
Twal
Farah
Mikale

Yeah he had two offloads with his first two handles

I don't get the hate either , he can't help if we can't get in a field position that he can properly utilized

What was garlic mayo doing when he was at dummy half on the last then ran in front of Reynolds who ended up kicking the ball into him?
Hahaaaaaa

Garlic Mayo needs to give the game away

Trials don't mean a whole lot. I would be more worried if I were a Knights fan losing 30-6 to the Sharks TBH. "Rookie Sharks coach John Morris pulled a number of his stars early, while Knights counterpart Nathan Brown gave his team regular season minute"

We can’t afford to carry Marshall and Farah I believe….. Benji with his grubbed kicks into legs nearly every game he plays and Robbie’s poor tackling technique and loss of pace.
I believe we must move forward now!!!!

Yeah, pretty well agree with this and most of the assessment of Russell earlier. We all watch the same game, yet when I read some of the comments it seems otherwise as they have seen something altogether different.

Farah went okay, but for mine, he can't spend anywhere near as long a spell on the field and provide reasonable service and input. Trouble is if he is replaced either side of halftime it costs two interchanges.
