I will be happy as long as Eels don't win it... Or Souths a close 2nd...

We will be fine when we have 13 on the field and can play within a structure. Our defence looks good and the attack will come once our top squad are out there..
In the first half they kicked off short twice and got the ball back .. That killed us as no tall players to catch the kickoff..

Anyway happy no serious injuries is a positive.

Missing all our main play makers so no surprises attacking wise we weren’t great. We lack pace too. Much easier to work with in 13 aside compared to nines.

Yep .... pace is the key in this format...... and we just haven’t got that. And please ..... we still have Nofa to guard our flank?
I know we tried and failed to address this problem however until we make such purchase a priority ..... we will continue to struggle in height and speed departments of our game.

Not too sure what Nofoaluma did wrong today? Still think he's our best winger in terms of try-scoring and the significance of his dirty hit ups in our own end can not be exaggerated

He’s too slow to play wing in the NRL.

If u wanna dive deeper hes not exactly tall or good with his hands either.

Kinda like a garbage tier version of Mansour.

Still rate him over Corey tho.

Cory is a better finisher, better footwork, probably faster and safer under the high ball. Nofa May as well be a prop cause those runs are all he’s good for.

Wouldn't be starting at many other clubs.

I never seen either game but I don't get the wrist slitting after 20mins of football.
The format is totally different to 80mins with 13 players.

It’s not about this meaningless tournament, it’s the fact that every time this club has an opportunity to stand up, we fall short.

We played two good games, most teams played one decent / one crap.

Only reason we are out is Souths got to rack up a score v Raiders ZZ graders.

No one should judge the nines with real seriousness. McQueen, Madden etc... and Pat Richards won't be there round one...........

That’s all true but it doesn’t change the fact that we have an inherent culture of not standing up to be counted when it’s required, whatever the situation.

Cop out. Every team is in the same boat.

True - but when some teams ie raiders decide to use reggies players it disadvantages the side who doesn't get to play them. Either play all teams in the pool or force sides to have a minimum number of NRL players in their squad. The whole format is a joke.

It’s good to have footy back but this tournament really is a joke. The fact the Dragons are in the QF’s.

What makes this forum meltdown even funnier is last night we had a team of champions and Madge had something special brewing. Even got a thread wrapping McQueen and talking up his performance. This place is a circus.

On a serious note , it would of been good for the confidence of the club moving forward making the QF's ...but we have to trust that Madge knows what he is doing .......
