NRL Rd 15 *Spoilers

Boy I wish we had a go at Liam Martin in the future, kills it in defence and just as vicious in attack, common Hartigan do your thing

PVL has made the game worse than Greenberg ever did. Worst bloke we've had running the game in forever.

V'landys owned two video stores back in the 90's. I owned a video store in the same group called Home Pics Video. We had group meetings every month.
He was a tosspot back then and he hasn't changed

I worked with him recently. I was running late for an appointment at his house on the day the Sam Burgess drug allegations his the media. I ended up being 20-30 minutes late and he was really cool. Was completely calm and collected and talked with me for over an hour, as if I was the only thing he had to worry about that day. Then he said "if you will excuse me, I need to go to war//"

I really liked him as a bloke. Zero pretense. A very down to earth bloke.

Sorry mate but any person who uses the metaphor of going to war to inflate their own sense of self-importance sickens me to be honest. A person in a plush boardroom isn't some bloke fighting for his life in a jungle or a desert.
Really hate it when people trot out that line

Sin bins are killing teams. Anyone think 5 minutes rather than 10? Still sends the message on head safety, but won't leave teams chasing 12+ points upon the send offs return.

Some sin bins are just undeserved. That’s the issue, the refs don’t know when to and when not to. Last nights sin bin in the Penrith vs Roosters was ridiculous. Cleary fell into him. Not much you could do to avoid head contact in that circumstance. Completely accidental and not worthy of a sin bin.

Positive football is rewarded by the refs. We should take the hint.

The game is not up to the referees to reward positive football.

It is up to the referees to stick to the rules and referee fairly and squarely, same for both sides.

Klown, the Suttons, Atkins and a few others (exception Matt Cecchin) select a side to win and give them every chance to accomplish that. A penalty, a few six agains or even a sin bin help them to give them a leg up to see out their mission. We see it game after game, week after week.

Game is going to crap, correction - at the moment it is.

Trouble is they think the supporters don't notice what the referees are doing. I was a great supporter of V'Landys when he started, then he came out with hair brained schemes to make the game better. Instead he has taken the game the other way.

The only words I have for V'Landys now are - "GET OUT" - as the head of Rugba Leeg you make a great brick layer.

We want "Rugby League - The greatest game of all" back, not this pathetic version of sevens crap.

Same with the cowboys one at the end - tolman dived in to the tackle - nothing robson could do and then the cat tolman stays down to milk it. Game is absolute rubbish these days.

I bet if Wests Tigers got good at Rugbeh Leegue not many would be complaining..

Cleary puts the ball up, his team mates have the mindset this is a try scoring opportunity. The positivity is rewarded, rather than believing it is a good position in the field to start the next set.

it was a bomb. same as every other team.

His team mates race through because they believe it is a genuine try scoring opp. Other teams are content just to tackle and start the set near the line. It is a mind set.

so we don't compete for kicks?

Poor analogy, youth batsman has to switch from batting against pace to facing a leg spinner. I always told my sons you need to hit the switch to get your footwork going to get to the pitch of the ball to score runs. Many kids who were strong against pace struggled against spin bowling because they weren't prepared to use footwork to get to the pitch of the ball. Therefore the spinner would dictate terms and often maiden overs would follow. There should never be maidens against spinners. This is all about mindset and being positive.

So your saying the Tigers should take their bat and pads out for the game against the "Storm" (please there is only one), use their feet and smash them.

How does it feel Robbo

There's never a problem until it's a problem for them. Anyone else kind of feel a little warm and fuzzy that the rorters got stiffed?

Cowboy's 5th tackle options are laughable.

Drinkwater is so bad ?

Why couldn't they perform like they did in rd5. Man still spewing how'd we lose to them garbage, 2 pts begging. I really hope it doesn't come back to bite us nearing end of season.

Taukeiaho will receive a $1700 fine for an early guilty plea, or could risk a $2250 fine if he unsuccessfully challenges the charge at the judiciary.

Would like him at the club, he's everywhere.
Already re-signed late last year until end of 2023 season.
Maybe then?

Luai twin in the crowd 😂

That sin bin was definitely a game changer but Roosters have had many due to Tedesco falling in every tackle.

I can't believe no one in 13 pages has mentioned Cleary's game. That was as complete a performance as I've ever seen. Any halfback wants to know how to influence a game on the backfoot, follow Cleary from 20 minutes onwards. Bloody incredible. He's on a different planet to anyone I've seen. Seems to have so much more hunger in his eyes than last year.

Still find myself rooting for any team that verses Panthers though. Thought I was over the Cleary thing but seeing him no the screen gets me riled up.
