NRL Rd 2...*spoilers*

Putting my WT goggles down i would have to say that both those sides played particularly well in those conditions and both are full of quality players. Thought a few of the try saving efforts from Eels (especially Gutho) were the difference.
To compete at this level we are going to need far more discipline and 80 minute efforts.

Mattos strategy of maximising cash for an early retirement now makes sense. Wish he was more honest.

By the way the forum should be shut down for the number of compliments to parra. Shame on some of you, there are kids here you know.

I don't care what Parra do, they are lower than Manly. Their fans should be sterilised.

Before anyone downvotes me... my Dad is a parra fan so I'm qualified to speak about the quality of offspring.

Can someone explain what the rule is around stopping the play for injured players off the ball? Lane goes down and they stop (ref tells Munster he has a duty of care), then NAS goes down and play continues. Same thing happened to us last week and resulted in a try (Simmonsson for them, Utoikamanu for us)

I could have it wrong, but my understanding is that the trainer has to call for the stoppage, and our trainer didn't do that..

Gutho saved like 4 tries, eels only won by one try. Major difference in the game for sure

If the trainer calls for play to be stopped the player must leave the field I think for hia or a set period of time

Parramatta are the kings of exploiting the rules. That trainer had been in the thick of it for years. Running out during the drop out to assess Gutherson. The ref calls time off and allows Gutherson to be strapped. I thought they had to be taken out the back or off the field for 2mins.
Unless of course there may be a rule that the ref can call time off if a player is in the middle of the play but i was under the impression it’s play on unless the doctor asks for stoppage.

If any team are on their game and play till the 80, that proves Storm are beatable. Credit to Eels who fought and grinded out in pouring rain

2 minutes min (if not HIA).. if the trainer calls for the play to be stopped

if the refs calls for it, then the player doesn't have to leave

This makes it difficult for the ref because all trainers will be asked to wait until the ref calls and we have seen it a few times already.

It becomes even more muddy when you take into consideration about how far the player is from the ruck and which direction the ball is going in..

NRL needs to come forward and make it clear to everyone, there is a disaster waiting to happen.

Fox League reports Storm season over after Cammy-less rudderless performance against the Slimey Eels leaving the majority of tipsters with a 0/1 start to the Round..with even hapless tiger sucked in..

If they ever put names on jerseys, I'm getting a kaifusi one after last night. Earned my money. 💪💪

what a kick Moses

Forward passes not a thing tonight

Yeah, can't believe how many forward passes have crept into the game.

What the hell are the touchies doing, and then of course we get pinged for a forward pass last week that even the commentators were saying, "what was that for?"

So it wasn't just my one eyed Tigers bias.

There’s probably 100s of them running around png. Do we have the smarts to try and scout them ? ?

Don't forget we've got Gebbie waiting in the wings.

Hope he can stick it out and have a crack because I think he can be something special.

Matterson is a flop but don't wish that on anyone, he's had a lot of serious concussion injuries over the years.

If you keep getting these concussions, it won't matter son how much shopping around you and your agent do, because you'll be too much of a risk to be on any team's shopping list.

Really used to like Gutho until they made him captain and he turned into a complete flog, but gee he pulls off some freakish things.

Edit: never to be picked at centre for the Blues ever again.

Storm must be rueing the fact that they didn't have a suitable swap for Momirovski. I think Sivo would have been unlikely to score at least one of those tries with competent opposition.

Yeah I really hope Gebbie can turn into something. I think he will leapfrog AF, as he hasn’t really shown much so far
