It’s got people talking, that’s the point. Any publicity is good publicity.

No it’s not. There is such a thing as bad publicity and this is an example. It puts people off. I would like to know who the NRL thinks the target audience for this add is? Will they become NRL fans and buy merchandise, tickets or watch on TV/Foxtel? Somehow I think they have missed the mark.

Who will it put off? Not league fans, no matter how much they moan.

Perhaps not the current league fans, I would assume, maybe incorrectly, that they are trying to grow the game. I personally found the add somewhat childish. Something an immature adult or child would come up with. Pretty disappointed to be honest.

I saw kids watching their footy idols on the box, aspiring to get there and some attaining just that. Also watched some great moments of the game, a proud player draped in a flag, a girl singing and two woman in SOO jerseys celebrating and all whilst enjoying a great song from years past.

I then come on here and see posters whinging about Asians, Aboriginals and a couple of women kissing, which is likely something that they probably enjoy viewing when getting off. Not only that, ridicule the truly expanding part of our great game and the ones that aspire to be them in the large number of girls taking up the game.

This is a football ad, not a political statement - one day they will get it right.

I don't think it's a "boomer" thing. The fact it has people arguing about these issues shows that it's too political in the first place.

In fairness, I can't see the relevance of someones sexual preference or culture to the talent they have in the game. Can't we watch the spectacle rather than have politics shoved down our throat all the time...I just think people want a place they can go to get away from all the different opinions and just be brought together by something they have in common - the great game of Rugby League.

It’s definitely a boomer thing. How is showing Latrell mitchell (an NRL player) holding an indigenous flag (a massive part of the NRL) or the two NRL PLAYERS kissing political at all. These were big moments from last years game and will be a big part of this years game, the NRL promoting the fact that EVERYONE can enjoy the game is far from a ‘political point’.

People shouldn’t be so upset over an advertisement. End of the day everything in it was relevant to the NRL. Funny how the generation that seem to think everyone else are sensitive and snowflakes can’t even handle a flag in an ad.

I guess we just never had it rammed down our throats at school, so we aren't as brainwashed by it all.

If you think kissing a woman on TV is a "big moment" in rugby league, then you should go and watch a few more games. Honestly, this would be at the bottom of the pile of great things in Rugby League.

It was a big moment last year and it pushes the fact that EVERYONE can play footy which is what we all want right?

Don’t think anyone’s brainwashed at all. Trust me I’m against forcing political correctness into everything just for the sake of it but everything in the ad was relevant to the NRL
